Governors are being selected by president from the list sent by central govt. but without any change and so the posting to states and UT.The list is prepared on the basis of cast and central govt.benefits inclusion of satisfying the leader who could not be accommodated in ministry formation or to avoiding his/her defection to other party.

I would like to invite all of our friends to form a guideline for this ,since the post of governor has become very crucial in present scenario .

Governors should emnate from a group of eminent nonpolitical / non-bureaucratic citizens. The present practice of posting retired bureaucrats or former politicians should be stopped. The same is the case with the ofice of President. A governor or president can be a leading industrialist or a leading professional who can be called a head of state. The selection should be done by a committee of leading journalists , leading tax payers and other leading professionals.

With the help of parliamentary advisory committee taking minimum qualification and required ability into consideration ,a guideline should be formed ,then only the list after due approval of same committee should be sent to president for further n/a.
