Not all the job portal selling database and some possible to do that if not how they know our details. We cannot tell everyone do like that way. Even though one person do it like that then whole community is affected.

I dont think so.. If at all they do that.. its just a purpose of marketing which they may try to utilise the info.. Major point - People are not charged generally for thier resume posting...so in short nothing comes free...

I don't agree with raj, ofcourse these job portals sells the databases to other entities because then why we recieve so many e- mails or calls for some or the another thing.

Agreed that they send resumes to companies and not to anyone else then how is it that a person uploading his/her resume for an application in BPO gets a call for learning languages like french etc.

Truly yes otherwise from where the information leaks. Peple post their resumes or personal information on these portal and these information are being sold by them.

Mr. Raj i definitely agree with you and moreover even if they are selling the databases to other companies then what is the harm because those companies by getting your details will at most try to market their products or service.So they are not doing any unethical practice because you are not being harmed by them in any way.what do you say?

It isn't like that these portals send the resumes to the companies according to your requirement and from their companies make contact. There is no selling of personal information done here.
