I beliwve its the experience that is more important while looking for a candidate....Degree does gives a person educational support, but at the end of the day it should be the experience and knowledge a person gets through work experience that should matter the most. More the experience a person has, more productive he would be.

I personally disagree with subashini.. if experience is important then no fresher will get a job. Basically this depends on what kind of job we are applying for. If u interview for a top level management then experience could be important. It also depends on the knowledge level of the individual, one may be in the field for a long time but there knowledge level can be less than a fresher...

Degree is most important only if you got degree from reputed institute as well as university. But, today's along with degree it is became necessary that you have practical knowledge,i understand that there is becoming difficult to getting job and since 2 days many various debate is going on.For fresher getting job is difficult but also easy if you have good market knowledge.

Only Experience can not reach you at Top level in any organisation such as managerial level or any higher position,at the end one has to be with a good Degree, either Master or Bechelor. But yes if you have experience then it doest not much effect from where you are passed out,at that point of time only knowledge, skills and work experience give more weightage, not a degree.

A Degree is important. Having a Bachelors degree or a Masters degree puts you at a better position in any job market.Even if a High School graduate has 10 years of experience, no company will make him a Manager. Degree provides the well rounded academic experience to an employee. The further you study, the more focused your field becomes. I can go on and on about this. Initial career foundation lies on the degree you obtain. The focus changes towards experience once you become a Manager or Senior Technologist/Engineer.
