The blackboard, chalk and the duster : these are the real accesorries of a teacher. We are digital-immigrants, we have used all these technologies in later part of our lives but our kids can claim to be born=-digital if such concepts like e-learning come into picture. But this isn't the main point , the point is will it be a right decision to use e-learnignright from the start. Wont our kids miss out all the fun we had with board, chalk and duster and zealous and animated teachers?

Should e-learnig b encouraged in school too?

Any development is a continuous process and hence e-learning is acceptable and can be encouraged in schools for the benefits of students to become more talented. Thanks for the referral Mr.Virag Shah

Yes it can act as a secondary medium to formal coaching but it should never replace it. Because a personal interaction wherein the teacher gives a knock on your head if you repeat a mistake is far more valuable than an impersonal one which is the digital medium. Also in a formal education the seriousness on part of the student is more because they can never shut off a system or get distracted to other web pages like in a digital system.

e-learning should begin in early phase of a person i.e. childhood so that when he/she grows up he/she would be an expert.

e-learning will definitely use and beneficial, encouraged to school. Majority schools have chnge learning style, they use LCD projector in school as well as college. After 2-3 years, the teaching trend will change as per time..

Unless and until its two-way communication, the effectiveness of the learning imbibed can not be measured! The package should offer everything, including well controlled help desk.

Why not?? of course it should be. Teachers will be there anywasy just the method of representation would change. Perhaps the new technology will have something even more creative than what we had experienced. We should not resist change, we should get adapted to change and try to make most out of it.

I too say that elearning should start not at an early age of study. It should start from 6-7th class onwards and not before this because giving desired knowledge is limited to a certain age and be given at the desired age.

In my opinion e-learning effect the children in many ways like physically, intellectually, and socially harmful, especially for kids under the age of 11. In our traditional method of teaching students improve face- to-face conversation with more competent language.Children become expert speakers, listeners, and writers. It will also effect the children's own creativity. There will arise many health as well as social related problems like stress injuries, eyestrain, obesity, and social isolation, physical problem due to wrong computer pose. So in my opinion e-learning should not be encouraged in schools.

e-learning of course is good Idea. But at school level students better should learn in conventional methods of teaching like student teacher interaction.Because at school level learning is just not meant for materialistic gains, they have improve their character ,personality ,social behavior and other humanity aspects.I fear ,by by E-learning may deviate student from above aspects.,.,
