According to a survey conducted by TopGrading Solutions, consisting workers from retail technology, payment solutions, and supply chain procurement and planning industries, about

    * 37% percent of employees prefer extra time off, if a year-end cash bonus wasn't an option to keep themselves motivated,
    * 21% say a simple "thank you" is an ample motivator,
    * 15% prefer a holiday bash,
    * 26% felt there was nothing that could be done to motivate them at year-end,
    * 9% felt that their companies did a fine job keeping them motivated during the recession and 17% stated nothing could turn their low spirits around.

In a statement that increasing employee spirits becomes more crucial as the recession comes to its tail-end. According to a poll, nearly 60% percent of respondents were looking to leave their current employer due to mistreatment during the recession.

Do you also agree that in this scenario, employee will leave their current employer?

Merely because of past behaviour, it won't be wise to quit the current job. Job market has not yet completely recovered. Still employees are facing problems in getting settled. New skills are getting demand and many employees are preparing themselves for that. So, in this situation, I don't think it's wise to leave job at this point of time...

sorry to say but you are absolutely wrong if or when ever you face any wrong treatment still you have to work in that particular environment or with that particular senior person who is solding you every time whether u r wrong or rite don't ever think that your senior is wrong may be you are wrong at that point but if you think that no i m not wrong that whether you are absolutely wrong at that still you feel that your senior is wrong than at that point you never ever took you

the person who think that he/she is not wrong in any of the movement is absolutely wrong on each & every movements

b'coz nobody is perfect upto any limit that's why pencil should always have erase to correct his mistake at any time or movement but pen can not be change in any case we have to cut entire line or paragraph written by the pen

so, don't ever feel yourself that you are a pen or you can't work on any wrong surface alway's feel like a pencil to work in any condition or environment or tumhari har galti mei ek good learing always hide

definately they should not bear the mistreatment coz a person wont be able to work properly in such a envirnment where he is bearing mistreatment and this may result in lack of cocentration and inefficient working so the better option is to leave.

Job, without job satisfaction, is not worth carrying on with. It reduces the efficiency of person. But, one must find an alternative, and that too a better one, before one decides to quit the job...

I agree with Satwinder..Self respect is something which should be taken care of. Not only during the recession, but also otherwise employee should be respected for what they are.Illtreatment with them leads to lack in efficieny in work, negativity and no love and interest fo rthe work

Good comments Satwinder!!!

Employees can always think of quitting the company, if they were mistreated. But, be cautious so that one does not end up with another devil!!!

a quick point ,

it shouldn't just be the recession but the the value of an employee, if that is not being respected . then one should seriously leave otherwise all the negativity happens as stated by Sonam

Its not wise to ill-treat ur people during bad times. Also to those who have made you reach to those levels what the organization is today. The employees during recessesion should be made to realize how well they can contribute during tough times and how economically they can be helpful to the organization rather than being ill-treated. This not only prepares the employees mentally but also help in knowing better about the organization.  " ONE CAN KNOW BETTER THE OTHER ONLY DURING TOUGH TIMES ". .. hence, the next step. Prevention is better than cure..... Thank you, Manish N.

Cheers!!

I think they should leave their current employer. They were mistreated when they were in bad condition and had no other option other than tolerating that beviour but now many of them may be gettin good behaviour since market conditions are getting better now and employees have lot of options left. Also, because of no fixed work timings. No time for family and self introspection resulting in frustration, anger and all negativity.

I think mistreatment could be defined in many terms. So first it should be clear that what shots of mistretment you are talking about.Because if my friends,my relatives will mistreat me,then will i leave them?Jokes apart, many a times we have heard and also seen or faced that we have to go through many hardles. If we leave that job because of lack of guts or patience to handle this, then wont we  be an example of coward? If we leave the company, then company wont feel or realise anything in the second day.So i think it would be better to be in the job and let them feel continuously whats wrong and whats true with full courage and not by compromising with self-respect.

y the hell employees feel that they should leave organizations, if some thing happens wrong in any ones family, does it mena that family members should leave the house because they are not getting what they were getting earlier.

I agree that just leaving an organization for the sake of it would not be a wise decision in current times.  But yes, if one is getting a better opportunity somewhere else and is sure of job security there then surely he can think about it.
