DOCTOR's profession is a noble profession! Because a few are like that, we cannot condemn the whole gamut of male professionals who treat patients as patients and do not distinguish their patients on gender basis, if they have taken oath before starting their career!

In the West, Europe and USA - women prefer to be treated by male Gynaecologists than women Gynaecologists. There are more practising male Gynaecologists there than females. It is only in the East that the "culture" is to say Ladies should go only to a Lady Doctor, specially if it involves their "private" areas.

Yes. Why not? I do not want to start another debate on Doctor's Noble Profession? or who are narrow minded? Yes, we also aware that few male gynacs have done wrong and it came in media too but this is also true that some male gynacs are better than female counterparts. This is patient's wish to whom she prefer. If she will not be comfortable with male gynac she can visit female gynac, who will stop? But we can't stop a male doctor if he want to take gynac as speciality. This world is equal for Male or female.

It is really a hopeless debate. It is seen that some member's views are posted on their personal experience & changing day by day.

As today's female is acquiring every field & computing with men in almost every field.

So female can also become gynecologist. no one is going to oppose them, as it will be for betterment of no. of females.& members like Suyashi will get some kind of relief which they are expected.

if somebody studies medical u study human body in whole and not just male body or female body there is no much difference in contents and working of a body except some specified organs for specified purposes and reasons .so the very topic is obscured and narrow minded though some patients prefer to be attended by female gyneac but male doctors are doing very well in the field and we wount discriminate between a male of female based on physical identity .pls dont furthur degrade the ethics and moral of ma=edical field by this silly arguements of giving male cases to male and female cases to females then it will be a shame on society then on medical field

After a long time participating on a debate in too step....as there is not so much interesting topic..but feel to comment on this...

Suyashi, Sorry to say like this...you are looking all the males through a narrow minded thought....I feel so far no one raised an issue on this... honestly i didn't heard any complaint through any media. May be some doctors are there...but a general judgement based on them is not fair....

Why you limited to only gynec in the debate...other doctors also can do the same on ladies...So what is your opinion...govt should ban all male doctors or a rule that male patients to male doctors and female to female....Sorry... I feel yoy are more interested in SEX related topic as i saw another post recently.... Sorry if i am wrong.

Yogendra....I liked your comment...your thoughts behind that
