With teh recent regulatory changes in the noise pollution, the health and safety ministry is expected to set up 450 control centres in Indian cities. They are aimed at reducing Indian sound pollution. Will this ever work?

Yes, any initiative in this regards is a positive step towards a better tomorrow. I strongly feel that only if the execution of the law is done properly, then it makes sense. Unnecessary honking, political processions, etc. needs to be regualted. They not only generate pollution, but also consume energy. I have a beleif that it would work in India over the long cycles of time. But, surely, it is a first step!

According to me I don't think this will work. These initiatives merely start and die. Unless people realize what they are doing and correct themselves this problem will not come to an end. So the best way is to atleast educate the present generation about the issues and use them to find a solution for this problem.
