Why not, neither KKR nor the eden gardens belong to Saurav.Bad performance is bad performance, excuses should not be given nor entertained. Ganguly himself should have the brains to step out of the race gracefully like what Anil Kumble did. He could have stepped out and taken over the reins of CAB to develop cricket in a better way in West Bengal ie., if he truly loves cricket as he says.

i dont think that since kkr have not taken Sourav Ganguly should be a reason for protest...I dont think anyone is to be blamed here.what the management have thought to be right have done that.Further there performance will tell more.its a game and we should take it that way only.

We should understand that the T20 cricket format is more entertaining than anything classic unlike Test or to some extent one day 50 overs limit cricket.IPL Cricket is a commercial venture. So ultimately it is Market/Franchise which has decided Sourav's or any other cricketer's fate/Demand. We saw that during last two IPL how he lead his team, as a whole it was a Disaster. Dada should have realized this & avoided the embarrassment. It does not mean that DADA is not a player who could have rejected out & out could have negotiated with his base price & took him in. But Market is tough and Cruel. KKR shld pacify their fans. It is an more emotional issue to Bengal than any thing to do with Democracy,Leftism,Rightism etc. Let us not blowout the issue out of proportion. Lets not worry much Yash, Sharuk & Dada knows how to handle situation & pacify the Kolkata fans.

Though it looks unfair to an international cricketer of Ganguly's stature, it is quite incorrect to think that KKR should be allowed to play in Kolkatta minus Ganguly is cynical in a democratic country. Communism is fading everywhere, but WB and Kerala are the two States in the country showing "RED" all these years. KKR should have had a detailed discussion beforehand with Ganguly on their decision not to back him in the IPL4 AUCTION! "GREG CHAPPEL" started his downfall, SHARUKH is holding the baton now to deride and denigrate a Player who is Class Par Excellence and had shown winning path in the international cricket by his sheer aggression and team play!

Yes, by all means, Ganguly is not the whole of Kolkata..remember people he is 38 or 39 and you can't expect him to jump around like a 20 year old something and it takes a toll for everybody for the frenetic pace of T20 matches. I donot understand why this fuss? Can't Team select their own Player as per their own wishlist and strategy? Is a referrendum is required? And even Kolkata team managed the whole issue very badly, see what Royal challengers from Bangalore team did...they made Anil kumble who opted out from Auction as their mentor...they could have done something like this than face the wrath of kkolkata public like this.
