Present day media just prints the "Official" press releases and not much analytical and investigative reports come out especially in India. When Satyam Maytas scam broke out it was expected that media will bring out similar scams in other public limited companies. But till date not even a single company has been reported - is media still awaiting voluntary disclosures by these companies? We need more analytic reporting which is based on investigations and facts.

I completely agree with the wave. India being a democratic country has a very important right or freedom " The freedom of speech and expression". This freedom is completely being taken advantage of by the media. And so because of this right only you cannot stop anybody to reveal such informations. It doesn't harm anyone anyway.

I think it is absolutely fine until and unless it does not threaten the very existence of the company or would gravely jeopardise a commercial venture.

I am in agreement with Mr. Bhave's thoughts. Since a company is owned by the public, information pertaining to it, should be transparent. I also support Mr. Pathak's concern, but I suppose confidential information will remain confidential, till the time it needs to be revealed. Like information which they may like to keep from competitors.

i completely agree with Markand here...and yes media should be respnsible in divulging details about the company...and here media might also be providing wrong info...but then it is upto us to find out the right thing by ourselves...

Who are the major investors in a company in its start up? We are. Who are the gainers / loosers when the company decides that its brand is not faring well as thought? We are. Who needs to know if the investment is sound? Who seeks help of experts in ascertaining whether the opportunity presented is worth its salt or not? We do! Media should be the key not only in announcing a new venture, but also in providing vital details and statistics about the 'people' seeking people for their venture! I support this idea completely!

This is an absurd debate. Our country is a developing one, disclosing official information & everything to media will fetch only industrial debacle.
