Obviously allow, people are coming for entertainment in multiplex or theatre. But if any problem regarding miss part of film due to the crowd, it should manage or organize accordingly. But food should allow.

The price difference of the outside food & food available in the multiplexes is almost double. More over there are many people who do not eat outside food. The prices of food available in multiplexes should be made reasonable. Prepacked food/beverages cannot be sold more than their MRP.

Though it is easy to say yes from the consumers point of view ! Look at it from the business point of view. Multiplexes today have revolutionised the way you see movies. They have invested in technology and introduced a lot of comfort in terms of seating, ambience etc.not to forget the show timings which are very convenient nowadays. As santosh says. cleanliness and hygiene is yet another investment. You are not greeted with chips packets and chewing gum stuck to your seat or a rat running under your feet in multiplexes. So you are indeed paying a bit more for the comforts and the amenities. Remember the earlier days theatre where the screen would go blank suddenly or the AC would be switched off or you would find a soft drink bottle under your legs or a broken arm in your seat etc. ! compare that to the viewing pleasure in the multiplex today and you will understang why you need to pay a bit extra. Also i havent understood the fad of eating popcorn and sipping a soft drink while watching a movie. Why not eat your hearts fill outside before you drop in for a movie ? That way if the food stalls inside do not generate sales - then they will be forced to revise their prices automatically. Having said all this i do favour a govt. ordinance that decrees all multiplex owners to have a fixed 10% increase to the prices outside and not more.

High cost is concern, compare the cost to other hygienic places not our home made food cost and at other end, it can be solved by having a affordable price & categorized food so where is point of allowing or not allowing the out side food

Consideration is up-keeping the Hygiene & Sanitation part.( Keeping the hall clean for the next show).
May be, smaller business is to grow on bigger one.(Canteen under cinema hall etc.)
Guys may not be bothered on spending more , just , for the sake of entertainment & fun. Entertainment act may be permitting them to run contractor stall only ( I am not sure). To make cinema hall different from home & feel that they are entertained nicely (service orientation etc). Recreation is given prime consideration on such thing.
