Yes indeed and allow me to add, travel in buses and at least behave as part of human society they claim to represent. Else it should be called "Royal-o-crazy" i.e enjoy like royals on public resources and cheat the masses in name of democracy. How else would any corrections be possible for the classes they claim to represent and assist.

The policticians and all children of govt servants must eb sent to municipal and / or governmnet schools only When any big politician comes to any location the roads are cleaned, the pavemnets are clean traffic is regulated similarly when the children will study there the aminities will be good automatically and so will the quality of education Thsi will help the poor who cannot send their children to big schools. I support this

Usually our leaders children not even educated in the schools of their elected school segments. For school education they will choose international schools of state capital. For higher education they are opting foreign universities. If any rule binding them to educate in government schools, our school standards must improve.

When a prodigal son of a rich businessman from gulf had goneto study in Germany, the son had a peculiar problem. He wrote to his father that while I commute to my college in one of the luxurious vehicle, my Professors' are travelling by train and he was feeling embarrassed. His father wrote to him saying that please let me have the cost of the train, so that I can buy the train for you! Similarly, if the children of the otherwise rich politician are forced to study in Government Schools, just for the sake of their own children, the standard of these Schools would get automatically improved! Wonderful idea!

I would say yes because if politicians children study in Govt. schools they might improve standards. Because of standards we are sending our childern to Private schools. If Government Schools are good then i will definetly send my kid to Government school only.

Dear Asoke jee, Why do you think the children of politicians are targetted? It's about ensuring quality education in Government Schools. In fact, I am interested to send my child to a government school. But what I see is that people who couldn't do anything since long, who were never good students, who were registered with local employment exchanges since years are now teachers (I am talking about Orissa only as I don't have extensive knowledge about the situation in other states) in charge of moulding and grooming the futures of India. This has to be stopped. We must have the bests through thorough scrutiny of talent and attitude to look after our children. Think of the state of affairs 30 years back. How many of the present leaders and top bureaucrats had gone to private schools for their education? And, they could well compete with their private school counterparts and came out successful. Why the same quality of education is not ensured in government schools now? And, the teachers are now working for just money and nothing else. But my primary school teachers were the bests of their batches as getting into Elementary Education Training Institutes was very tough and the bests could qualify during their age. Now, the bests are quite repulsive to become teachers. It could be for money or the crumbling dignity of teaching profession. Once the quality of education is ensured in government educational institutes, other institutes would just become second option for the students and guardians, as in case of IITs and IIMs. If politicians are asked to send their children to Government Schools is because then only they will strive to make these schools the best places for education which will not benefit their children only but crores of children who have talent but no money to submit the fees.

Some more elaborations might have helped to answer .. !! Now, --- Who is a politician ? You mean MLAs and MPs ? --- In a political party there might be others who are the functioneries but not elected. You also want to include them ? --- You may also like to include ex-MLAs and ex-MPs ? Even who are not alive ? --- why target the innocent children of politicians ? Is Govt. shool available every where including in villages ? May the medium of education ( language ) be suitable for the children ? --- What is your main subject ? You want Govt. schools to remain or not ? Are you in favour or againt of Right to Education law ? You want spread of Private School or not ? You want "commerialisation of Education" or not ? We here want to learn from you a lot.

afterall the standerdness of any school is depends on the teaching methods and not on the students status. So no qution about who take admission in govt.school.and now we open the door to abroad universities n colleges to open der education market.

I don't think that if a rule is made for the politicians education compulsory in government school it be any good to India. I don't understand in what manner it would be good to upgrade our education system in India. Are any of us willing to send our children to public schools. In fact, we all should strive to upgrade our public education to such a level that not only politicians but even you me and all of us should be competing among ourselves to send our children to public schools instead of private schools.
