i will not support reservations in govt jobs bcoz of folloing reason :- Two people got Eamcet ranks as 5000(General category) and 40000(reservation category).They got same college bcoz of reservation for sc /st/bc. Same teacher told for both of them . They got same percentage.Both are genious.Both are trying for govt job only. The reservation person got good job he is happy bcoz of our govt policy . the other person who belongs to general category still searching for the good job (what a joke in this country ).what is moral of the story .

undoubtedly,depending on economic conditions.In our daily lives,i came across many people who are from backward class but affluent than many general people..also reserving seats in jobs and and also higher education is a totally because of political influence and thinking about their vote bank..Backward class who need these reservation doesnot get their primary educations..its better to support financially and aware them about education system before giving up any reservation..because otherwise it is being utilized by people who has enough resources to support themselves.. Mayawati,is a very good example who is from a backward class and supports them,spends millions of rupees to build a park with her own statue..does people like her need any reservation?? reservation system is a symbol which makes us backward...

It should be definitely based on the economic status.Because there are many in this countries who have a high profile socio-economic status but still avail reservation which they don't deserve at all.And at the same time there are too many needy who deserven reservation,but still they don't get it.

reservation should be based on only economic condition irrespective of whatever caste a person may be.supppose if we take a sc/st/obc person get goverment job then his life would good,now he will give his children good education ,govt will give kota so his children will also become govt employee and this goes on and on ,then for others govt will puta nama for us.......this kota system is merely for vote purpose this should be . only in India u could see reservation based on caste ,not in any other country. In our govt exams,jobs there is no respect for merit or talented person ,they consider only the caste certificate.its this thing which makes most of brainy indian to go abroad.

Actually the main purpose of reservation is to give the support to those who are not able to withstand because they are financially not good to take the advantage of the opportunities that others have. So in my opinion any type of reservation weather economical or on caste basis are is not right if you are giving this reservation in exams or in competitions. this reservation should be given financially in very early stage when a student is in primary class. At this stage they should be given fee reductions and hostel facilities for free. So that they might get all the opportunities that other students have and then if they compete to others and get the achievement that will be right. At later stage if you give reservation then it is not good actually this is a poison to them as he/she can't fill those gaps which are already created. Also they get digressed thinking that they came here because of reservation only...

One fundamental idea we should be clear with is "Is reservation essential?" Despite adverse circumstances in their lives have not persons like Ramanujan, Vivekananda not come up. It is in the capcity of the individual to make a mrk. If we allow reservation policies to rule us, we definitely deprive an individual of marking a high watermark in that we give away to him very easily. On the contrary when an individual touches zenith by sheer dint of his calibre without any helping of any kind, he will be renowned worldwide.

Government should change its view towards reservation of Jobs based on Caste, since most of the people who gain the most with this type of Reservation easily override those who work aggressively for their aim & dream for which they deserve for.

I agree with you sir. Undoubtedly these reservations creates gap between different castes. Government has to take steps to provide Education to all, then giving preference to Economic status of the student jobs to be reserved, the ranking of marks scored may come next.

Reservation in Govt. Job should be on the basis of economic condition of the person. Because, it is not necessary that a person is of low cast is having very poor condition of living. He may have very good family economic condition in comarision to a person belonging to higher cast and vice versa. It is just a political advantage for the politicians to support reservation for the backward cast.

I am personally against reservation based on caste as it brackets meritocracy, however, considering the kind of oppression, marginalization a certain section of society is facing and has faced in the past, reservation should persist for their upliftment.

There is something called 'social advantages'( those that are accrued to a caste because of its superior position in the caste hierarchy). By providing reservation on the lines of economic status, people from all the castes- sc/st, obc and general are put under one category. ie., SOCIALLY DISADVANTAGED SECTIONS ARE MADE TO COMPETE WITH SOCIALLY ADVANTAGED SECTIONS WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY NOT A FAIR PLAY. So that is why reservation should be only based on caste. Economic and social disadvantages are two different things. Economic disadvantage can be warded off simply by putting money into the hands of poor. but social disadvantages of a particular caste/group can be wiped off completely only by destroying the notion of caste without trace - even from people's mind, which is highly utopian. So instead of expecting everyone to become 'rational' and let go off the caste prejudices, the government , through reservation, seeks to nullify the effect of social disadvantages inflicted upon the oppressed. So ECONOMIC DISADVANTAGES != SOCIAL DISADVANTAGE.

Lazy persons from both the category obviously doesn’t get the job..Students who can make top in their cast will only get the opportunity. Reserved person also have to TOP for getting the job. He dosen't get the job without doing any hard work. Do you have confidence after removing reservation, present reserved person will get chance to be employed instead he is having topper rank?? Do you know how much of super class 1 posts/ key post / job generating & job giving posts are grabbed FROM THOUSAND OF YEARS by Open category?? to whom will they support?? Person belonging to their category or to person who as per them is untouchable & who don’t have right to take education?? Pleas increase your knowledge based on history for why these grate leaders have been forced to take decision to make reservation by law for backward and under represented communities in India. If you really want to remove the reservation systems then first REJECT THE CAST SYSTEM, which has forced to include reservation system. Becz as per cast system these present reserved population doesn’t have right to take education. These present reserved person were being forced not to take education for thousand of years by the open category. After being prohibited NOW IN THESE 50 YEARS, BECZ OF THE GREAT LEADERS WORK they have got opportunity to grab knowledge. THEY HAVE MADE THEIR DEVELOPMENT IN THESE 50 YEARS INSTEAD OF WHICH THE OPEN CATEGORY IS GRABBING ALL THE KNOWLEDGE & FACILITIES FROM THOUSANDS OF YEARS BEFORE… For a person whose ancestors are doctors & Engineers from thousand of years it becomes easy to become the same. Because he gets all the related knowledge for becoming the same as his ancestors without any effort at his home itself. He gets all the positive surrounding,from his childhood to become a doctor. He himself has to only to study well..So he must get 99 out of 100 marks. Instead of getting all the facilities if he cant get the top marks then its his fault & he really is not illegible for the post.. Opposite to this situation a person belonging to the family who fulfills its daily need washing utensils or as grabbing a class 3 govt. job whose ancestors from thousands of years doesn’t have smell of education, whose family cant give the knowledge to become a doctor to his child, will obviously doesn’t get the knowledge, the proper surrounding, from his family. If such background person is on his own getting knowledge without his ancestral support then his 70 marks are obviously superior than the 99 marks grabbed by all facility holding person from his ancestors. In simpler way A Goldsmiths child can recognize the gold in his childhood itself becz he has that surrounding from his birth day. but ‘’the person whose parents & he have never seen the gold before will first have to study what is gold? on his own’’ Then only he becomes able to recognize gold.

because the depressed class people doesn't have the capital that owned by higher class people. Though 1 is high class from depressed class, 10000 are living Below poverty level. In higher class, very few r at the poverty level. No one is below poverty level. The economy is in the hand of higher classe. Thus for this purpose, there is reservation on the basis of cast.

I support your views. Economic condition alone can not uplift the weaker sections. When we say economic conditions, the creamy layer will consume all, in the pretext that, it is below the line & the sections who are likely to be lifted up will remain where they are. Genuinely saying, caste wise the guys who are below economic conditions as prescribed by the govt , needs to be considered.

The Caste system may continue, provided that the Creamy layer is deliberately denied such benefits. Further, if the seats are still vacant and could not be filled up, then it should be open to those eligible under economic status. But there is one basic question? still the reservation goes to those children of the richest among the lot. Who is responsible? Jaago re..!!!

almost nobody can deny the prevalence of the caste system in every corner of india. and every reports ( suresh tendulkar report, planning commission report) says that more than 70-80 % of sc/st/obs/minorities are BPL(Below poverty level) and so, to have the life line, there should be some relaxation for education and employment comparing with the sophisticated high income.caste group.but, mere economic conditions can't be a good measure as it can fluctuate.so, we need to consider Caste-means education,social and political and also economic conditions not alone economic status.if you ask how long ?...i want to say until the under previlaged people gets the decent and just living conditions.because the root of caste system is still there strongly ...i can't be jus thrown away within just 50-60 yrs.so, it needs more time to be fruitful and gets the decent& just living conditions for everyone.
