Yes Ms. Pandey is absolutely right now in my views ,From IPL the image of cricket is in danger zone, because the IPL is just pool of adv .there is no game it is just to disturb the economy of India. These Kind of activities also give the the path to Black Money which is also harmful for the country.Because all big companies get profit and smaller are in loss. so finally it create difference in the financial standard of public. It should be closed.

Purge IPL - clean IPL - un-knoght IPL from Modi and his people. -- bring back IPL to cricket and only cricket -- stop money show in IPL, stop all extravaganzas -- stop / clean Money Laundering in IPL, -- make to withdraw money-hungry business men / women from IPL, let Bollywood go back to studio floors -- Some 122 websites are opened in the name of IPL and owners are not identified. Close all except one - make BCCI its owner -- Bring back fame and prestige for India - ours is a great old civilisation

I completely agree with neelima there is simply no need of these strategic timeouts and ipl parties.Modi's honey moon is over.I dont think he has done anything exceptional for indian cricket what he has done any bloke could have done it better than him and may be honestly. The concept was nothing new T20 was being played in England for years..it was tried and tested one moreover the board had already seen the success of ICL in India and after clipping their wings(ICL) with the help of ICC they made their own league (IPL).Here the whole and sole aim was to generate money even that came at the cost of the players they succeeded in it.Modi has not left any stone unturned in generating revenues be it via marketing or adds he has done it all.whats the use of showing adds even when the over is still going on itz irritating..wats next are we gonna see even Umpires shirts filled with the name of sponsers, see each and every part of ground filled with the name of sponsors so that it becomes difficult to even spot the ball.what is the need of these parties when you have a game everyday

Good point to debate Neelima. Am on this side as had YES for one and NO for another quetions you had asked. Strategy break, I really do not see anything wrong there. With adrenalin rushing up in just 2 hours, guys certainly need break and all would be more than happy for it in the name of strategy. But for after match parties, a big NO. It could have been taken as a marketing gimmick had the players kept out of it but participation of players has made a mockery of game. Converting cricket from a gentleman's game to a mere showbiz is what IPL has acheived and it needs to be corrected. Right now as any more such steps would reduce its value, for sure.

Thanks for referral, Neelima. But I am sorry , Ifeel that I should be on this side of the debate. I am no fan of cricket and not of IPL at any cost. My views are just an outsiders from marketing angle. For any sport to flourish it requires money and the money is in todays world in pockets of the glamour wourld and corporates so to extract it you need to get sponsors. Now IPL is not the cricket the purists would like to see or is actually being seen by them. The BCCI actions seems to be result of jealousy against Modi. No doubt Modi has made money, made connections or what so ever but this has not happened without the big bosses of BCCI knowing it. I only sincerely wish such enterperneurship comes into all sports like Hockey, Football, Tennis, Badminton and the interest of public is divided into all the games. This will automatically reduce the power that cricket and BCCI is enjoying.
