While society is made of bed and good things.Any god can not change this standard. So it should neglect bed side and accept good side.censorship is not a proper remedy for ever because good and bed is logically depends on social property.

I don't think the social networks are misused. at least I don't come across. Still, it would be good to have censorship. Some of the blog's has already, they review the comments, before publishing. It would stop abusive comments.

Social networks pose great danger which are very subtle in nature enabling the owners to use the data as they deem fit.

Puja give me one good reason why censoring is necessary in social networking sites? Any written statement will automatically recorded statement and, if the need be, one can always look into it. I don't feel it is necessary.

POSSIBILITY OF CENSORING WEBSITES IS THE FARTHEST POINT, OF COURSE THERE MAY BE A HOST OF ANTI-SOCIAL ELEMENTS ROAMING AROUND THE WEB TO DISRUPT PEACE AND TRANQUILITY, THEIR INTENTION MAY BE EITHER TO HAVE FUN OR TO HURT SOMEONE, BUT THE FACT IS THERE ARE BILLIONS OF SITES EXIST ON THE WEB AND SCRUTINIZING EACH AND EVERY PAGE IS HIGHLY IMPOSSIBLE.
(APPROXIMATELY 20 34 00 00 000 WEB SITES EXIST AND THIS CALCULATION IS ONLY FOR THE YEAR 2010.....SO WHAT ABOUT 2011?????)
I WAS TAKEN ABACK WHEN I VISITED THE BELOW WEBSITE.

Social Netwok sites are meant to be where everyone can express everything without restrictions and limitations. If censored ,let it be personal site with restrictions.First of all people who want restrictions are not social and should not include themselves in such sites. No offense is meant to any one this is just my thinking.

You cannot censor the social right of speaking out but what you can do is place an option for the readers to categorise the content as abusive to enable the social networking sites to censor the content. Orkut has done that but not sure of others. That I think would be a better option than just enforcing on others what/ what not to speak in a public forum like social networking sites.

You must have the courage of listening to others. That's what the purpose of networking is. Why otherwise should you start a debate, if you have censored basic right of a person to speak against you in the name of censorship. It would be a shame if the very roots of public rights are censored with the notorious intentions of cooking corruption behind it. Btw, no matter I am personally a fan of Mahatma Gandhi, but at the same time i also think that you cannot force anybody to respect Gandhi or follow Gandhi's point of view. Your thinking that whoever hates Gandhi is antisocial or anti indian is very unfortunate. :(

There is no need for any censoring technique i think,if one is so much concerned about his privacy i think he/she should remove their respective profiles from their social networking sites as many people often do after entering in some type of commitment. All these networking sites are simply to connect us to our friends and acquaintances, besides its an uphill task to provide censorship to so many number of users. They already have given the option of blocking the user whom you want to avoid. And even if they do so the complains will always be there(we recently heard about someone putting some derogatory comment in SRK twitter account which made the actor upset)
