Seeing how the references are working nowadays mostly in the private sector it amazes me how many deserving candidates face problem in landing a job of their choice who are not having references. Will it be better that in school only a subject on PR(Public Relations) beintroduced instead of Moral Science  so that kids understand what they need to do inorder to suceeed.

Building relationships today are more important instead of hard work.It helps people immensely in all walks of the life, even though its not totally correct.

Not exactly Public relation subject but yes on soft skills its big time necessary students today they don't know how to behave in the first place and even if they are having knowledge and no proper etiquette it will be difficult for them to fit in the job scheme of things as companies will look in future for all the soft skills. So a course or a subject on soft skills will do good for students than ever before.

In Childhood all the moral values are being taught. But it is also necessary to learn about the PR along with the existing system and importance of the same in walks of their life,so that they are more successful in their career.

Instead of PR, what they need is subjects on "coping with stress", "creative thinking", "time management" and "memory management"!

offcourse it will be a welcome idea if such topics are taken up in schools. When young, it becomes the best learning ground and what better than the schools.

Instead of PR, it would be advisable to introduce computer related or IT related subjects in schools and this would better build their careers in the present changing scenario. Thanks for the referral Ms.Sheetal.

Sheetal I agree with you on the subject and I feel school becomes a little early for the students to understand PR.

I think Sheetal has a valid point here. Its soft skills training that most of the younger generation needs and would help them in improving their people skills.

Please for gods sake allow them to be kids and enjoy their childhood. Already you find everyone in the rat race to score more marks with the existing subjects. We all grew up without any PR coaching and still have become decent individuals. No point in thrusting our stupid ideas on the young kids small brains with the sole agenda of making a better grown individual.
