Should there not be more emphasis in conservation of energy . Simple way is to switch off the light whenever not required .

Energy conservation is call of the day . Generation of thousand units , importing tonnes of diesel , LPG or LNG will not be sustainable untill expansion is not dovetailed with conservation . Have u thought that if u save 1 unit of electricity perday , the net saving to the country would be Rs. 720 Cr per year , considering 50 lakhs household saving 1 unit perday and per unit cost of electricity Rs 4 /-. It is just an example . Same example can be drawn for pertol , diesel ,Gas etc .

Thus one the day of independence let us pledge that we will save at least 1 unit perday of electricity . It is doeable - let this be our contribution to our nation on this day .  In the evening let us ask our family members the account of energy saved similar to our habit of asking them to give account daily activities .

Let us make it a habit of our family like we do worship in the morning ,in the same way "Energy Conservation " be part of our value system .
