Should TV channels create link for Mobile Journalism?

Being from the media field i know what are the things that are taking shape in Journalism, and people in the management level are seriously considerting Mobile journalism as it has a vast reach than anything else at the moment and every one now has a mobile phone, and at a time where Citizen journalism is poised to take a great leap into the mainstream media as the mobile phone networks are pursuing and are in talks with many news providers about feeding clips produced by its customers on to television news bulletins. A deal of this sorts would create a direct channel for anyone caught up in a big news event.

Every new thing has a some or other drawbacks, and even in this case there might be, with the links given to mobile users where they can post, there might be too much of irrelevant stuff that people might post and clips which are of no use, at times even silly things may get reported, and this was the roadblock that the management level thought will be in case of mobile journalism.  But then this citizen mobile journalism is getting really popular in west and in India it is high time that one captures the use of mobile communication which is spreading like a wild fire at the moment.

I think Mobile Journalism should be allowed and this will create a huge pool of news that is there which nobody else can cover, as there are nearly 3.3 billion mobile subscribers across the world. And this gives a huge pool for the news sites for their online websites where one can easily then and there upload the video of the happenings of a major event that has taken place, in a way many might cover the same thing but it will be upto the news sites to decide which is the best among them, and with Podcasts, one can also give his views, record it on his mobile phone and send that to the news site along with the video or pictures regarding the event,some thing like youtube where people upload videos, but here people will be uploading videos of news material that is out there, in this manner news gets real-time with the help of Mobile Journalism. It will have drawbacks but one has to make sure that there is less drawbacks and use this kind of journalism to the fullest.

Yes , I feel it would be great if TV channels come forward to link with mobile journalism. Today with the help of technology available everything is possible. People really contribute many interesting news on the internet. Mobile phones today play a vital role in the journalism sector. People take pictures and videos of the incidents and post/share it on the internet. So the TV channels should create a link with the mobile journalism and start broadcasting the news through TV.

Yes they should create the link and mobile citizen journalism is getting popular these days there are news sites which are getting news posted by normal people, and creating a link where people can upload videos and give pictures is a really good idea and in a way they will be promoting journalism to common man and they can reach where news people can't at times and makes sure that every event is captured.
