oogle Inc and Facebook Inc, plus others, have held low-level takeover talks with Twitter that value the Internet sensation as high as $10 billion.Twitter raised $200 million in financing in a deal that valued it at $3.7 billion. The company, which allows users to broadcast 140-character messages to groups of followers, had 175 million users as of September. People familiar with the situation said the twitter believes it can grow into a $100-billion company. So should it join hands with the giants for finances or should it try to develop its empire on its own?

It has come so far and is still progressing. I think it is best for twitter to still go on its own and win the world. Joining hands with others will take away its individuality which is more important than anything else. Company dreams to be a biggie and it should believe that it will be one on its own.

It is better to join hands with the biggies because in that way it will solve its finance problem at a go. Doing this on themselves might take years and slow movers are never appreciated in market only smart movers are.

A successful brand like twitter would only dilute its brand value by joining hands with any other player...It should cash on its value individually after all its market leader..

Puja I am in agreement with your point of view. The progress Twitter has made they should go ahead of their own and earn a much better valuation for their company.

To go on it's own will be better for twitter.

I support your views, Puja.
