Green technologies are a fad. Because VCs are investing in US, it is hot in India. The much needed infrastructure and support for green technologies rae not present in developing countries like India

With increasing awareness and concern for environment the future is based on green technology. Very soon we will see the legal regulations enforced on all to adopt only green technologies. So it make sense to invest & fund the companies who are already involved with developing such technologies.

Yes i believe that the VC's must back the companies investing in Green technologies..

The reason being that the green technologies are are step in saving the enviornment and are also profitable...

Green technology will and has been getting more and more funding in both priovate and public sectors.  We are working with companies now producing our green pc and green laptop ideas saving millions of pounds, dollars, and yen world wide each year. The idea of a green pc is to use less energy but producing easy to use internet / graphics / desktop / workstation enviorments consuming AMP after AMP of power. Did you know things like TV sets, telecommunications gear , and video centers pull power, even while off? This again needs to change saving each household across the globe ....... just as one point of a million.

Save the planet and do it with less waste.

With rising fuel costs, sectors within green tech--alternative fuels, solar power, auto, and wind--are expected to receive more money......so definitely they should back up...
