Today hotel industry is growing at a faster pace with the global change but the amount of energy, water and food wasted is really a great concern. Waste management and waste water treatmentis also a big issue and an environmental concern. Can ECO hotel be an answer to this problem?

Definitely, going green and applying sustainable sources of energy are the future. So far, people might be slightly confused about it but it is a matter of time, everything will be ecologically friendly. We are already late in taking care of our mother Earth.

Yes ,we should go surely for a eco friendly hotles setup which will have full electricity all the gajets, facilities which we required in todays world meance pc , phone , ac, hotwater, lights , microvev,tv etc. This things is to be keep into mind while construction of the hotel. Installation of solor sells, solar water heater, installation of gobber gas plants which links with all toylets, letrins, urinals, kitchen also. Rooms must be have open to sunlight so during daytime it will have sufficient light. The color of rooms and hotels must be reflecting light so less luminex will required. Gobbeer gas plant will produce gas from the west and this may be use for cooking and as well as for generating electricity if it is in good quentity. The electricity produced by solor cells will be stored in batteries and use during night hours. The efficient and limited staff depend upon no of custmor will give us less runing cost which will useful for owener to provide less costing for customers.

I agree with you in this regards. As i mentioned in my previous statement that we should consider waste managemnt and smart buying to help managemnt, staff, customer and our environment to sustain its growth and greenery. Being the most responsible creature on the earth, we are responsible to maintain the eco-system in all the possible way. I think eco-hotel in this regards will help to some extent. I wish all the people and company should stand to protect our nature so that our next generation will see our beautiful earth.

Yes ECO hotels are the answer to address all those problems and going green is the right way for any business for that matter, and this will have a sustained growth in the future.

Dear Vinod, I do not agree to you, Hotel will work if people come and peolpe will come if their needs are fullfilled. If the ECO hotel is able to provide them with innovative ways to live without electricity at a affordable price this idea will defrinitly work out.

Yes it is a very good option and some ECO hotels do exist and are working. It will save a lot of energy as they have solar or aeolic power, so not all are without electricity in the rooms, and even some that have candle lit rooms are also available. Some ECO hotels have compost toilets and many have simple sewage systems that require TP to be tossed in the waste basket.

No, I dont feel that it will be a success. People might not prefer going to stay at such a hotel because they wouldn't have anything to do. Most of the gadgets work on electricity and they might feel concerned about living in room with no electricity. Neither will they be able to charge their electronic gear not read books.
