There is no doubt that, being the largest network and a lifeline for the common men, railway is very crucial ministry for central government. but if it is the case then why not defense? can't we have seperate budget for defence. anyways,there is no strong reason for seperate rail budget and  i believe that, the rail budget can certainly be a part of main budget and it also would be helpful in reducing colonial practices of our 'Respective Ministers'.

no because india is shifting towards the list of developed countries and in all developed countries we are having only one common budget in which rail budget is also included so i dont think india will need seperate rail budget in future...
