This will work. Just see the market for which skoda is targetting. Higher middile clas & higher class customer. Customers in this class are very net savy or some staff will do it for them. Technical Data is more clear on line then visual display at sale point. Their marketing strategy is good.

Of course it will, by getting knowledge online, the customer will get to know about each and every detail about the car online. They need not roam around the showroom again and again to get more knowledge about the car. They can also chose from a variety of cars for which they needn't go to the showroom. Thus I believe online selling of cars will be very successful and this merging will definitely promote online car sales...

Yes I agree this will increase awareness about the cars Tech Specs and so will it influence the buyers to check for cars online before they actually visit a showroom to buy one.

I think it will be accepted by the car customers and it would increase the car sales. Here customers will get a chance to conduct market research and compare prices, connect with finance and insurance companies and receive premium service at their doorstep. Customers will be attracted by this as this will save their time and money. And car companies can exploit this situation by doing more business on online.

tieing up for sales promotion will not help skoda in any way, skoda has gained a bad reputation for fairly expensive parts and servicing(service costs same as benz) and have quite a few cases where the customers where cheated by skoda dealer. Skoda firstly need an Image make over rather than pushing sales

There are products which most of the customers would like to have 'touch and feel experience' ,Car is one among them. There are customers with brand loyalty, but still most of the automobile customers would like to do demo, test drive & etc., in order to find (maintenance, pickup, mileage, safety & etc.) the suitable cars for them and for their family. Skoda's tieup will definitely improves their visibility of the products and its features to the customers, it can be taken as a good marketing tool.

I don't think it will increase online car sales. Majority of Indian car buying population prefer to see the car in front of their eyes before buying it. They need to feel it by test drive and after becoming satisfied only they buy. So, merely by getting information online, they won't get the feeling which they can get by practically handling it. Thus I think this merging won't make any increase in online car sales...

I don't think every customers will go for online purchase of cars because they have to do a test drive before they buy and they are more satisfied when they go and see car in show room. Before getting others opinion on online sites first they have to create their own opinion.
