Smaller Mercedes cars in India: are you interested?

Mercedes planning to bring smaller cars to India. Many people dream of owing a Mercedes but the difficult part is they do not have enough to pay for it. But now finally Mercedes has planned to bring in new smaller cars to India.

Mercedes will build its first brand centre in the country at Gurgaon, near Delhi. This brand centre will show each and every product from Mercedes Benz, all 40 of them, and it will be ready later this year.

But others details are still not revealed. What do you think , will this be a good deal for us or we can't say anything till things actually happen?

They have promised smaller cars but cost is still not revealed. We do not know about the performance nor the models. So let wait and watch.

This is simply great news....... Now Indians can have first hand access to Bosch technology upgradations... Also small cars mean a lot to people who have to face a lot of traffic on the roads, in metropolitan areas & even normal urban localities..... I think most Indians nowadays would prefer a hatchback over a sedan or SUV mainly due to the heavy traffic on roads...

Had already owned an Benz A class few years ago. But not to many Indians woul shell out 14-18 lakhs on a car the size of i20 but car lovers would love to have it.

Oh for your guys information : Benz will shortly launch Mercedes A class and B class in India. price expected 15 lakhs + if there is localization or 18 lakhs + for CBU. An made for India mercedes is expected by 2013-14 @ 8-9 lakhs+(all are hatch back expect for B class which is like a mini MPV)

Small car in India, it is good. Cstomers are having more choice, more value for money. Finally customer is king will decide....

Yes definitely, the concept of bringing out a small car in India is good. I am sure that it wil be met with great optimism. The price will definitely be less than the usual Mercedes big cars. So, let`s hope for the best.

Today mostly every brand has smaller luxury cars, that are a HIT in india.

Mercedes has always been a large high-quality sedan to aspire to. Such as the Mercedes e-klasse. I don't ever want to buy a Tata Manza sized car with Mercedes's pricing overheads.
