NO, it should not be banned. I agree with my friends prashant and sasi Dash. Beacause these is a very cheap means for the company to communicate and market their products and services to customers. And it has a wide reach because of developing communication technologies in India.

And yes customers do have the option to disable suchservices as our friend Prashant said like Do not DISTURB(DND),, if we are not interested in such advertising, we can disable such services..

It do help the customers also who receive such alerts, who were not knowing of some product or service which they now know due to such alerts...

One more point is that, there is nothing such as censor and uncensor to be put in these alerts. To the extent i know no service provider who is providing such alerts can send such material in the alerts which may lead to such a discussion on censoredship...

So, i think it should not be banned as sometimes it may lead to benefits for those people also who were not interested in such adds, People might not know when product or service may flash on their mobile screen, for which they might be inquiring outside, when the information they need is in their hands only with help of such alerts...

Yes it should be banned, for me mobile is to keep in touch with only those person whom I wish too. If I am expecting an important text message and later find out its one of those silly advertising then I am just .......(distracted)

So, in my opinion ban mobile advertising

In my opinion answer to this question is no, people get distracted by this scheme and sometimes even get irritated and this advertising does not help also to grab their attention.

Well, I don't have a clue what can be censored in SMS advertising ?

I guess its about ban on mobile/sms advertising

Well, I dont think mobile/sms advertising has to be banned, instead why not mobile users go for DND ( do not disturb) service on their mobile so that they wont be disturbed by such advertising any more.

I do no think this should be banned because this is the best and the most easiest way to attract the audience. This has more reach towards people.
