I agree that social networking site diificult to transperancy. But up to some extent level it can possible the social transperancy, it depend upon your mutual understanding. For business purpose may be it will restric and risk for you but as a collegue or friend it wil give transperancy. Because if you see the facebook, orkut, twitter etc. people are sharing matter to each other and also online chatting.

The scams which we are seeing are uncovered due to the media and social network sites Networking sites can bring transparancy in the systems, they can make the truth more reverberating. I feel the social networking sites connects thoughts accross the world and also improve relations. Social networking sites are double edged swords one should take care.

Social networking sites can do only one thing apart from connecting people, that is spreading awareness about any particular topic but they definitely can't bring social transparency.

May be you are right dear but one thing which is the most concern for us is the "authenticity". These social sites can put some wrong information and those information can spoil business or career of an individual , If the authenticity is there can we can trust on it. Again i will support one thing what you have written "Social networking sites are double edged swords one should take care. "
