Ideally, that is not the conflict..! You have chosen your work.. and the feeling in you to work for a social cause is more than enough.. This feeling should be  inclutivated in everybody, rest  all happens what is in fortune.. so we should not bother much about..

Whenever you do something to others without any intentions of any results, you are doing social service, whenever you expect anything in return, it is counted as professional work. Work done keeping these two things in mind will automatically manage time. We need not do extra effort.

Is there anything that really needs to be balanced or such a situation is being created? You know you are working and earn well...go ahead with ur conscious saying for social work..but if you cannot afford or spend time..please be happy that atleast you have the feeling inside that you want to do social work..that is more than enough bcoz this will avoid conflicts within your life. As for me whatever you want to do with REAL heart can be done..and there is no conflict which needs to be balanced bcoz then you know to manage.
