soil and water conservation works are only assurance of sustainability of life on our planet earth

It  wasSir MV who said long back 'Indusrialise or perish" and Mahatma gandhiji said 'industrialise and Perish" I am not suggesting that either one of them was wrong.Both I think were correct.

I now leave that for the readers to infer.

But On the long run of around 60 years we have come a long way on Industrialsation  and benefited by it to an extent .Not to forget that we have gone to extremes to denude agricutural areas and shown little interest to Indian good methods of organic farming,havent coupled the better way of farming and water management with agriculture Therby reducing ourselves to a state where we will be left to IMPORT food grains and rice in short while from now.

Our main aim should be to conserve our resource that is  Agricutural soil and water(scarce).Indusrialisation will bring money but will not be able to purchase food if we start importing them losing all our lands to factories and SEZ's
