Hi.. The sides are tough.. and realy I am clueless on which side I should be. I am not even sure that the side matches your explanation or not. I am really sorry for this. Anywasy what I think is westernization has undoubtedly brought a lot of systemization in our society. It ain't an evil. We have to learn to take the good out of it and move on forgetting the bads..

No, westernisation, or India as a British colony, is not evil. Any aspect of History has pros and cons. If we remove exploitation and other bad aspects of western civilisation, then we stand to gain from it. We can improvise the Western concept by amalgamating Indian concepts to it, to innovate our own system, without losing our identities, values or roots. Greed, competition, corruption were in India even in Ram Rajya, and Ravan was never shown as a Western entity. I think we are wrong to blame the Western impact, but we should try to reduce the cons of western influence. The most effective result of Westernisation has been development, reduction of poverty, and a better standard of life.

Thanks,Mr Natteraja for referral.I have already made my point. However I support your argument "Today's development have been based on technology transfer from Western countries and it is a mutual benefit only". And it definitely leads to better life.

Capitalism is not evil, it only supports those who intent to create wealth. In the bargain the wealth of the nation increase, leading to better standard of living which is good for prolonging life on earth.

Today's development have been based on technology transfer from Western countries and it is a mutual benefit only. At the same time we can not follow their life style which is different from ours. What is good for us we can follow from them and we can leave others which will not be good practice for us. Even to day the westerners have started to follow our life culture. Hence the life culture with positive and negative impact differ from country to country. In everywhere across the world good and notorious people are there. Thanks for the referral Ms.Archana Singh.

What's meant by westernization? We need to accept and adapt practices which benefit society and economy, wherever they originated. As can be seen, industrial revolution and scientific progress in west has reduced poverty, health issues and lawlessness, what's wrong by adopting such values, if it benefits us also.
