Give your argument...I fully endorse this argument.What is spirituality? It is a way of life that shows the right direction to live a humane life.It also opens our eyes in deciphering who is taking undue advantage and who is not.Spirituality makes us good human beings, and thats what every organization craves for- good manpower. Good in work bad in charcter is not any one wants.This is the very essence of spirituality which ushers in integrity and commitment towards work..in work places!!!! Spirituality gives you strength to be upright and boldly face the world. You dont have to mask yourself if you know who you are..and that is what spirituality teaches you!!!

Spirituality at work place allows the religious organisations to spread their tentacles into business/working environment and disrupt the working. Work is worship. Worshiping the work at workplace is required in a country like India. Religious beliefs shall not be allowed.

It all depends on what is the definition we give for spirituality. Spirituality is an "inner search"a sort of self search, (different from introspection etc).You just see yourself, and some times you may use some tools.(I use incense sticks when i sit for meditation).If it is limited to "seeing inwards honestly, becoming a spectator of yr own self.... and if it does not involve any exhibition (some show a 70 mm film with their brand of spirituality-we dont mean that.              I shouldnt light an agarbathi in my workspot as I do in my home)it is a plus even in workplace J.Srinivasan, freelance Trainer

yest it is important. specially when people have become trivial minded and indulge in politics, deceit and lies to gain incentives, increments and promotions. spirituality will help them see the larger meaning and purpose of life which is live and let live.

Please differentiate between religion and spirituality. Religion is all to do with rituals based on one's beleif/faith . Spirituality is being in unison and harmony and peace within and outside. A balanced outlook. Of course there is no place for rigidity or orthodox views in spirituality. Spirituality is non judgemental ,non opinionated flexible state of self-discipline...

Spirituality has a great binding force provided all religions are respected and the corporate celebrates the various functions to respect the employees in their fold. In some companies they have a symbolic morning prayers which does not represent any particular religion as such but have a generic prayer that makes a binding force among the employees whether it is at department level or company level depending on the size. In India spirituality cannot be separated ,but the MNC's culture have started eroding this practice in many companies. It is a true spirit that all the employees and employer here in India do believe that the supernatural God plays a great role in the function of the company as a whole spiritually.

Human beings itself a spritual thing. We dont,t think for breithing if it is possible to give a break on this definitly we are no more. Spritual power is the POWER which accomplish with every one. Some people arise it by means of worship the GOD and come to know about actual realisation which helps individual to segregate the positive and negative surroundings which is the most necessity in working culture.

Ms. Gargi, lets not take spirituality in a narrow sense of something connected with religion. It really should be taken  as something which guides you to differentiate between what is right & wrong & gives you strength to discard wrong methods to achieve goals. It should be taken as something which helps you to consider others & their feelings & willingness to take others  along. If you do this than I think you will also feel that spirituality is essential not only in work places but also in our lives. In any case these days even managements talk about empathy, team working etc.

In present time when corporate,governance and almost very many organization are facing charges of unethical and corrupt practices,spirituality needs to be integrated in every facets of workplace. Spirituality is bound to develop not only Responsible ,Accountable ,Effective and Afficate Leadership but also a work force that shall always be 'Trustworthy and loyal'. An environment of self-discipline is imminent to self-governance. Spirituality is here to serve a panacea for present ills that are sickening the workplace.Spirituality is an essential 'Catalyst' thats needed for peaceful productivity in sharp contrast to turmoil soaked 'so called profits'.

No, mixing spirituality in your work might lead to uncertain situation. At work place you need to wear masks to protect yourself. If you are truly spiritual you cannot work in your organization.
