It might sound new and different. What does sponsorship have to do with online business? How can it work for the brands which are trying to build themselves in the web-world? So you think the Sponsorships can work for online brands?

Sponsorship enables a brand to talk to its audience directly and say: “I’m like you. I do what you do. Come with me.” By building an affinity with its selected audience, it can influence the way they feel about the sponsoring brand, and the way they behave towards it. Sponsored content is currently a key growth area, particularly in sports. Rights holders are working with media organisations to engage consumers online as much as offline. Fans who wish to follow their sport or hobby can now do so through a vast array of microsites, blogs, forums, and web-based solutions, most recently through technologies such as apps. Marketers have acknowledged that while there remains a place for traditional above the line advertising and media campaigns, consumer fatigue is making these harder to deliver in a cost-effective way. Integrating these campaigns into sponsored content prevents the consumer pressing the fast forward button on the TV control by surrounding the programme content with the sponsor’s subliminal (or in may cases, not so subliminal) messaging.

A number of online brands get sponsorship. But they have to be routed through offline media. For example AFAQS or exchange4media both being online bring offline events to their target audience when the very brand gets the physical shape and get sponsorship also.Even these brands have brought out magazines to help the online brand a consistent physical existence and making the visibility level up that the target audience make parallel to other brands.Interestingly,all the offline brands are having the online coverage too.

100% online brand sponsorship works. And many brand already sponsor in online. In upcoming future, online marketing-branding will grow very successfully. Right now it is growing very slowly. Because, online need more creativity and innovativeness as per users behavior, demand. Online brand is depend on brand- segment because many factor like online rush for particulars website, response, users etc. means first always need to measure online audience then you can proceed further for sponsors. Well, sponsorships definitely works for an online brand, but it is quite subjective. Subjective, in the sense that it must contain the essence of what is being communicated and what is being intrinsically targeted. Just wish to bring forward the sponsorship case of Coca-Cola along with the FIFA events and Hyundai Motors with the ICC events…Doesn’t it shows and implies difference? So…We have the answer.
