I appreciate your question Mr Gurumurthy in every possible aspect & also,, a very practical explanation from Mr Ketan.

Now the question to me is; why people are going for brands ??? ,,,Its not always to flaunt ,,I personally feel,,,&,,,even there are frugal & prudent buyers that go for entry level products of a particular brand or buy them with a particular deal,,,its just beacuse they have the insurance with the brand, of some quality standards & service in consistency & for a track record of time.

Secondly yes; as a consumer are we that much aware or care that if we are buying a shirt,,do we ourselves understand the technical or other quality aspects of the fabric, stitching etc? Are we really discerning buyers? Or we just go after tattoos?

I feel its the key word,,,consistency,,, if you remain consistent with your quality, service & in particular to the 'commitment' to make this happen one day.....it will happen even if you dont have any other support to communicate with your customer in other forms like ads or marketing budget to have a take off etc,,,, Even to sell pani puri,, the funda remains same,I suppose,,one has to remain ordered & slowly one finds a niche audience.

And yes friend its a very tedious job to make people ask for your logo at a store,,or somewhere,,,,from among the whole big big bunch,,,even for the guru's of it,,,,I am no one to make a comment on this; professionally...

I hope as its been a long time you asked this,, now you have the desired buyers,,,,

Why our local tailor have no Brand( no existence in our fashion world)? How the Balaji wafers becomes no 1 brand in Gujarat?

Every thing is possible if your product having DUM. By reducing price or by giving absurd product name you can not increase your sale.Even my factory workers choose Lee/Flying Machine,etc.. i.e. regular brand of jeans for their wear.In a party/Marriage people will judge you by your dress up.The first impression of you is your dress up.even costly wears like Wrist watch or Mobile are the second point of observation.

You deliver exactly what your customer wants. When your dress/fabric make your customer a Hero in his party,You have establish a BRAND.

Do market survey, make some thing different with some innovative ideas,Give

wide range of selection,Different range for all class of society,This will help you in making versatile Brand.
