Judicial systems needs massive reforms. Increased working time including saturdays to clear the backlog of millions of cases should be taken up on priority. This is one system which will keep India from progressing if change is not brought now. Special courts should be setup with clear mandate to clear backlogs. Need of the hour is mission type approach to speed up the delivery of justice.

The task of strenghtening has to be done from the grass root level i.e. from the trial courts onwards, where the cause of action is first presented. it is from there the judicial officers have to be more proactive in their official capacities.this will in turn enable to provide more humane& impartial judgments which would in turn lead to lessening of long adjournments.

IT IS WELL KNOWN FACT THAT INDIAN JUDICIARY SYSTEM NEGLECTS ITS PRIME GOAL TO GIVE JUSTICE IN TIME. THERE ARE MANY LOOPHOLES THAT I CAN PROVE. THEY(JUDGES) GIVE MORE PREFERENCE TO ASSUMPTIONS I.E. LONG DISCUSSION ON USELESS PIONTS.IT IS VERY EASY TO CONTROLE THESE TYPES OF LOOPHOLES AT THE PRIMARY STAGE I.E. RECEIVING INFORMATION FROM THE DEPONENT/RESPONDENT. THEY ARE UNABLE TO CONCENTRATE ON REAL FACTS AND THEY SIMPLY HANDOVER THE JUSTICE IN THE HANDS OF LAW VIOLATORS.IT IS VERY VERY BAD ON THE INDIAN JUDICIARY SYSTEM. ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES ARE BECOMING LEGAL ACTIVITIES BY DOING THIS TYPE OF ACTIVITIES BY THE JUDGES. WHEN THE DEPONENT HAS BROUGHT TO THE NOTICE OF THE HON'BLE HIGH COURT ABOUT THE LAW VIOLATORS THEY SHOULD TAKE ACTION ON THEM BUT THEY HONOUR THEM AND GIVE THE STATUS OF JUSTICE. WHAT IS THIS? IT IS PURILY WASTE THING AND PAYING MORE SALARIES AND MORE BENEFITS AND MORE PERKS FROM THE PUBLIC EXCHEQUER. THE JUSTICE SHOULD BE IN TIME. IF THEY ASK I CAN GIVE MY PROJECT REPORT ON THE REAL JUDGEMENT.JUSTICE CAN BE DELIVERED WITHIN 3 MONTHS BY CONSIDERING ALL ACTIVITES. RAMARAO BALLA

It is a sad truism that there is a long delay in imparting justice to the needy in this country. At the face of this issue lies the lack of responsibility of various authorities in legislative, judiciary and, executive machinery. We have enough laws to fight the menace of terrorism, but the fact is that there is no proper implementation of these laws. In a well maintained legal system, mere fear of punishment itself is enough to deter crime. Unfortunately our system does not fall in this category. We should start from the scratch. Our pillars of democracy are long overdue for a correction. We should learn to place the ordinary citizens who are the scapegoats of lawlessness at the heart of our democratic set up. Our Politicians knowingly feed communal hatred and terrorism for their career mileage. Executives dance to the tune of political parties and judiciary is totally detached from the world around it. Social outlook should also change. Even at a time when the heinous ideological dimensions of terrorism have grown leaps and bounds, our society attach this menace closely to religion. Media should play a positive role in shaping the mindset of the society. Our education system should also be re-organizes to give the young generation much more interaction and practical knowledge about the outside world. Drastic shift in fundamental outlook is the need of the hour and we need collective effort to achieve this.

Mr. Chopra, I never said that one should never leave his comfort zone and remain afraid of the system. No, one should fight, and in his fight the system has to support. Without the support of the system, he is bound to fail and his failure will deter others from trying. Also his failure would strenghten the anti-social aliments. So Its imperative that the system changes alongwith the mindset, and not only the mindset.\

Mr. Gopal, I don't believe that without changing the system, peoples mindsets can be changed. Just to create a scenario, imagine, if you were witness to a crime, you reported the culprit to the police, the police does take action, yet the culprit is out on bail, with no chances of he returning to jail for the next 10 years. Don't you feel a sword hanging on your head all the time? How secured will you feel? Will you still report other criminal scenes or testify? No. No person with responsiblities on his shoulder would take that risk again.
Now imagine, a government servant is caught taking a bribe, the police takes action, and the person is given due punishment immediatly, will it not deter others from taking bribe?
I strongly believe, the change that all of us wants to see in India, could be easily possible if we are able to dispose of all court case within a time frame of one year.

Yes i strongly agree with Mr. saifee on his view that India should strengthen the judicial system and there must be immediate action when it comes to giving verdict for the criminal cases, and one shouldn't allow who have criminal records to contest polls, so by the time the verdict comes he'll be a minister and spread his criminal activities even more....so there must be changes in the judicial system and this really helps the country in terms of less corruption, terrorism and criminal activities in the country.

Yes i agree with Gopal here that one should stand up against anti-social elements, and this will happen only when ppl change their attitude towards those things, one can't leave every thing for the system or the government to take care, infact people are government and the system that we are talking about, so ppl should bring change first and step out frm their comfort zone and not only judiciary system should be strengthend but also enough protection for the public. But first public should stop showing signs like who cares a damn. Stop depending on others, try and do something on your own, let ppl try and bring the change for once.

So Mr. saifee you are telling that one should live in his comfort zone and do nothing to create a better environment surrounding him or her, you only want the judicial system to do that by making sure the cases to be solved within a year, if one doesn't stand for what is right, then who will do, and my country is like home to me, if one doesn't feel secure in his home then where will he? If one gets scared all the time they'll scare us all the time, if one stands up against them, they'll not even bother you, The attitude of people has to change to create a better system, one should come out of his comfort zone and help in shaping a better system.

The judicial system is like this for a very long time and yes there should be more power with the judicial system, but to me the mindset of people should change rather than strengthening the judicial system, why not report to police or higher authorities if something wrong is happening, public just gives the attitude who cares all the time and infact people will not stand against these things in the first place, and can't expect the judicial system to change, don't vote to such people if they are doing anti-social activities or having criminal records. According to me first and foremost people's mindset should change..
