The separation period granted to the couple is to change their thought process before the decree and the divorce is accorded only after successful completion of such period. Any deviation or withdrawal of consent by either party would repudiate the process and the couple would get a chance to undo their claims. The absence of this would mean denying them an opportunity to reconcile their lives.

How will this be good. If a person is not living to live with other no law should force him/her to do so. It is his right to freedom and decision making. you just cannot force anything on anyone.

Mutual divorce is purely a contractual one. Consent to an agreement can be withdrawn at any time before it is accepted by the court. Therefore the Supreme Court has rightly said it .

My point of view is that it will provide supplement for rearrangement of a broken family by keeping away their individual drawbacks..

bad decision by court. They should have proposed some other option instead! Its seems like pushing someone to retain their relationship whole life long, no matter they live happily or not?

I agree with Aarti! Its an infringement on the Rights of the unwilling spouse! This will only lead to coercion and the aggrieved spouse will live with remorse in the remaining period of his/her life!
