The concept of a health vacation tour is very simple and affordable. You simply take a wonderful and romantic vacation to the foreign destination of your choice. While you are there you take a little time out to explore the health care options and obtain the health  restoration, replacement, transplant or treatment of your choice. Since health care costs in these countries are dramatically more affordable than in the United States and other western countries, one will save substantially while receiving some of the most qualified and professional (arguably superior) care and treatment procedures available anywhere in the world. The ancient Indian techniques of Ayurveda, Aromatherapy, Massage, Yoga, Herbal Medicine and Meditation are a perfect dose for those interested in alternative methods of achieving life-long health and feed their inner self. These techniques are also the most important preventive measures with which to combat the malaises of everyday life. . Indian Ayurveda pre-dates most other systems of wellness.

India is emerging as a great destination for health tourism because it has several pull factors like excellent health treatment at low cost, easy accessibility, picturesque locations for excellent holiday, etc. Travel to a scenic Himalayan destinations in North India or tour emerald green Kerala and meditate in peace, with good thoughts in the midst of sheer natural splendor with little or no human population close by. Kerala is setting an example by attracting health tourists and has emerged successful in generating revenues from health and medical tourism particularly ayurvedic resorts.

Destinations are popular because of alternative health therapies available in the form of ayurvedic treatment popular in Kerala and other states. Hot sulphur springs at Manikaran in Kulu for treatment of skin problems, the use of therapeutic mud from the Dead Sea in Israel, naturopathy and art of living courses, yogasnas at the Swami Iyengar Institute in Pune are some examples

The concept or practice of traveling across international borders to obtain health care- be it a medical, dental, cosmetic treatment or complimentary and alternative medicine  in the 21st century is a  fast growing phenomenon of  health vacations and is  fast changing the conventional concept of health care. Today the perfect way to recover from an ailment is to combine quality treatment with a great vacation. The idea is that getting away from the daily routines into a different surrounding, close to nature helps you relax better. With the health care costs skyrocketing in the developed countries, health treatment has become a costly affair. Patients in these developed nations are increasingly looking for treatment options in countries like India, which offer similar or even better health services at rates that are much more affordable. And when these cheaper quality alternatives of treatment are combined with an inexpensive vacation package, it becomes an ideal healing experience. It’s a perfect way to renew your mind, body and soul.

There are other trends also more popular than health vacations. I don't think health vacation is the "result of" the Changing Trends in Health Tourism. It is just a small part not the complete output...
