There is a lot more than just illiteracy. There are few women who have made a mark but the number is too less and there rises the concern. If all the women come up to show their power things will change drastically.

Mr.Jayanta Kumar, whether it relates to education or not, they have all empowerment in every home right from administrating the homes, taking care of their children and other family members. Some like this and others in corporate profession. It depends upon their discreations. In earlier days, the girls are confinred to homes only after getting some basic education in their local schools. But today the entire scenario has been greatly changed and we all witnessing girls and womens in every field and they all are good decision makers and administrators in the field they chosen.

True. The women by nature are very kind hearted, caring, lovely and intentionally don't want empowerment. In order to empower them, give equal right in property not only officially but also socially.

YES...One such area is literacy. A large chunk of women continue to remain illiterate despite a series of programmes intended at eradicating illiteracy. The UN convention on "Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against women ( CEDAW) " held in 1979 ,had emphasized on achievement of substantive equality of women but has not been utilised in true sense of the term. Women empowerment does not mean looking  into the surface of policies and programmes but also at the real impact and outcomes.

When we are talking about Women Empowerment, we are talking about the combination of characteristics. Education is just one of the basic components of it. So if you want to measure women empowerment, take the others indicators also and make your argument reliable.
