Prior to 1990, the India was closed for overseas functioneries. After libralisation many overseas companies were invited to invest in the areas where only Govt or Semi Govt agencies were taking part. Now the scenario has been changed totally and workforce are coming from all walks of the society. If an MNC starts functioning in NCR region, there will be an scope for all aspirants irrespective from where they belong. Aspirants will approach from all areas of the country to join new company. In order to manage such type of diversified workforce, the duties and responsibility of HR increas in manyfolds. You can not hire large size of HR team to manage or handle diversified workforce but there is a sulotion to over come this problem that is while hiring an HR staff, the recruitment board must observe that the views and attitude of a candidate should be cosmopoliten. The HR team must know about the culture and living style of state from an aspirant comes. The HR team must show tolerance before him/her if he/she does not behave properly. The HR team should respect the values and ethics of an aspirant or employee which he/she carries by birth. There should not be any discrimination among the employees on the basis of states or cast. Everybody should be adjudged on the merit of his/her skill and education as well as professional competency. I, being the member of a National level force have candid view about the habits and attitude of the employees who come from all over the Country. The meddle group of workforce have same problems and almost same family backgrounds. The prime duty of an HR team is to identify the common factor among the diversified workforce and find out the solution of a problem accordingly.

I agree with you upto certain extent but not completely. Why should only HR team change?? We understand that people come from various parts of India and have different cultures. HRs are supposed to be tolerant but their main aim is to choose the right candidate according to the performance and certain soft skills. HRs today ahve that capability and are already doing there work good enough.

Anand I agree with you on your point of view. At the same time HR's another responsibility is to assess each individual in the organisation and if need arise such candidates should be placed in the vacant position.

The mindset of the management of the company should have the understanding of the different practices, cultures, backgrounds of the employees it is hiring it is not limited to HR personnel only.
