I chose investment banking as this Industry but what I really wanted was investment alone. 

Consider Iraq or Afghanistan.  Is it possible to think of aid for either two countries when they are so unstable (assuming aid would develop the countries, a big assumption in itself).  In other words, is some stability a pretext for investment, consumption, positive government involvement and trade?

I believe that countries at war should not be considered as potential aid recipients until some stability (i.e., absence of war) has returned to the populace.  I believe the attempt to aid countries at war causes aid itself to carry a political bias so strong as to obviate the original purpose of the aid, namely to help and develop.

I agree with you Mr. Patrick, there should be stability in a country to get investments. Because, if economy is unstable, then, proper flow of money won't occur. Those countries where war is going on cannot be considered as stable since their economy is unstable.
