Ok so do you mean we do not need newspapers, magazine and any written material?? Should they stop the sales of newspaper? If people all over would have liked digital media then newspapers would have been extinct.

E-Media communicates via Television, Radio, Mobile Phones, and Internet etc. Watching a Movie or Listening a 'Live' cricket commentary is always interesting than to read them in stories. The fact of increased popularity of e-media on introduction of computer and Internet technology can't be denied. Still, the two media challenge each other for their specialties. There are hundreds of channels available on the television, which not only serve as per interest of each user, but also 'root' the 'seeds' curiosity and information. On the other hand, Internet has defined a 'magical' way to communication. The craze of searching interesting stuff online is still on its peak. Websites like YouTube have become an exciting way to spread the words as fire. The other sensation, 'Blogging', has made every single individual capable to express online. Users can choose to make a video channel, an image blog (photolog), audio blog (podcast) or the combination of audio, video and text in a tumble blog. E-media has imitated all classical ways of communication like, mailing turned to e-mailing; books became e-books etc. In such a strong hold of e-media over communication,

My support goes to electronic media because,

01. As an awareness to environmental concern. Print, only, when really required. It  does reduces the waste generation.

02. As a direct impetus to rise the awareness on e-media's to public so that, the remote guys also, at-least will come one day to realize it's importance and convenience.

03. The nascent technological trend needs to grasp the grass-root in all possible manner to achieve higher development.

E-Media is faster in reaching audiences these days. So Its always a best option over paper. But Paper can go to more rural places than e-media.

Its nothing like stopping newsapapers or magazines as its not possible too. Moreover, media acts as the fourth pillar of our constitution.

Simple. We all are quite comfortable in believing on what we see rather what we hear.Electronic media captures motion pictures of any news and so we like it.

Of course the electronic media is superior simply because it is an audio-visual format whereas printed matter is only visual presentation. It is a psychologically proven fact that the human brain's retentivity is more in the case of media. There are many case studies by many NGOs and foreign institutions in this regard and the results are in the public domain.

Media is about freely accessible reliable information, with equal feedback ( that judges more reliability ). Electronic media offers it better than print media. Print media is largely under the control of private parties. So one can't rely over their intentions. While electronic media (if they want to) has better ways to exhibit the percentage of their reliability. In all, involvement of people ( in the form of feedback, debates) availability of alternative sources are much higher in electronic media. Say for example to know the popularity of Narendra Modi, it's better to go through people's feedback, chatting with them, seeing their responses over the internet debates and social networking etc. Rathar than getting sponsored news from daily news papers, national private and govt. news channels, magazines etc . :)

Depends for what purpose we are using it.If it is for AD purpose than electronic media is far better as the impression lasts long.In case of news print media is better as it is also having regional reach and moreover even a laymen reads it.

I agree with your point of view Kavitha. The habits die hard so news paper and magazines will be there for ever.

Through print media you can read & enjoy the news in detail & repeatedly at your own pace. News analysis & reports are far superior than e-media. on the contrary the print media circulation increased after the success of e-media. The trend is follow e-media for instant & breaking news & go for print media for detailed news report & Thoughtful analysis. Thanks Kavita.

MISUSE OF ELECTRONICS MEDIA IS MUCH MORE THAN ITS REAL ADVANTAGES

Although both have their advantages and disadvantages, but still printed words are much better and reliable than the electronic media.

Electronic media not only gives just brief headlines of the case along with graphics and visuals, the printed media provides deep and detailed sketch of the news.

The biggest disadvantage of the electronics media is that it prefers to waste most of the time of the viewers by repetition of the same news headlines may be even hundred times in a day and creates much more boredom amongst the viewers.

Still further, the electonic media tries even to present twisted facts, as no record is kept by the viewers, while the print media sparingly tries to mislead the readers. For example I saw a media repeatedly flashing in the shape of news, "Kelay (bananas) khaoge to mar jaoge." "Dilli ka paani pioge to mar jaoge," "Loki mat khana, mar jaoge", etc. But the media does not provide any solution to the vegetarians which vegetation/fruits they should eat, when media just had been misleading the public in favor of some companies.

Some time back, the electronic media even did not desist from blackmail tactics when due to its false sting operation due to misuse of media by its correspondents spoiled the image and career of a lady school teacher of Delhi. Can the electronic media be able to return her past respect and honour, besides her assets, which its operators spoilt and lead a movement in the general public of the area to physically harmed?

In fact when electronic media is not able to get any visual report, they just try to flash old items or the junk repetitive and old serals. So, while the electronic media is supposed to be more advantageous due to its nature, but due to misuse, its disadvantages have become more prominent than the print media.

Sujeet has pointed out very well about the electronic media's ads.

In print media at least the reader has the option to skip and even all the ads, but the electronic media forces the ads upon the viewers to compulsorily see them tending to not only wastage of plenty of their time, rather disturbs concentration of the viewers. The viewer even forgets what he was actually viewing and where to make link with the previous part. Sometimes, even on getting bored, he or she leaves the TV set to do some other job and misses the rest of the part of the serial or news series.

Digital media repeats the promotional stuff time to time, and needs attention of audience when it is aired, printed media, on the contrary works as per the time leverage of the audience. I'd say influence of Print Media is more evident and easier to asscertain, than the Electronic Media

Mr. Sheshadri may not forget about vast scale misuse of electronic media by the criminals, terrorists and cheaters, spreading deadly viruses, hacking of bank accounts and credit card information, cheating through affiliate and MLM programs, etc..

I find through his message, as if he is just advertising his affiliate membership website, rather than providing details of the advantages of the electronic media.

What do you mean exactly by electronic media. How many people have access to tv internet mobile in a country like India. There are places where there is a community Tv, penetration of mobile signals is not wide spread in certain areas one does not get signals at all. What is the percentage of people in Indian population who have access to internet including browsing centers. What is net connectivity. Electronic media is yet to be accessed in certain areas, infrastructure yet to be improved in several areas. One cannot do away with the printed word.
