Is the post election time is most suitable for launch of Forbes India? It isquite possible they might have got deferred the permission by election but i think its delayed by three months. But as it is said It is never late to mend. With share prices on the upward movement, what else would be a better time for launch of a brand like forbes business magazine than now?

The timing is perfect Vs They would have done it better by launching earlier or later

Even now the timing is not that bad either, the elections are just over and UPA emerging as single majority is also a great factor, and the Market doing really well, and i guess Forbes magazine is more towards business category than into political issues....the Timing is not that bad according to me.....

Had they launched the magazine three months back they would have been able to position their brand as politico-business magaziine instantly. With many analysts pouring ther pens at the word go for a topic like election, they would have made a brand around India today, Outlook etc. But now they will have to settle around a brand like businessworld or business India etc. Which has definitely a limited public readership. And An english magazine like forbes with a niche brand image already set in the english readers mind, they will find it real hard to move beyond and find new readers later on.

i do agree with mr viktor and jyoti .. ya there is difference in business and political world,s even though of various  related issues..sometime they effect but if we consider for the Launce of Forbes magazine .. it is not going to make any effect .

so it can be launched .........even now...

i agree with viktor here, Forbes is a business magazine and it has nothing to do with politics as such, its more concerned with business and its entrepreneurs, so i don't see any disadvantage here, the timing was perfect...

Though politics does affect business, none the less, Forbes is not a politico-business magazine and the timing of the launch should not have any impact on its success. It is a magazine of repute, and should not have much problems in finding the right subscriber base.

I wonder why the 'Argumentative Indian' is so obsessed with politics. Let the politicians do what they do best, and leave the entrepreneurs and business people alone to do what they do best.

i agree with you sujith, it would have  done a world of good for the Magazine on the whole, as there was this whole political drama that was unfolding. And on the whole the circulations would have improved drastically, as most of the Indian magazines and newspapers did a great business during that time, so yes they should have done it earlier according to me...
