It is a very nice topic. Everybody thinks that, we are not getting the return upto the limit, what we are offering to the organization. If we ask ourselves the question “Are we really given our best of knowledge to the organization? Are we really satisfied on this matter?
Then, they will definitely find their answer of the question themselves. If “yes” then find it out whether, it is applicable upon you or upon every staff of the company. If every staff of the company is dissatisfied with the management’s activities, then that company can not be a good company. Or if, only feel that, you are only the deprived person then find out (RAZ), why they are doing so with you only.
The people who thinks that, why Civil Engineers/ other engineers, broadly we can say employees work so late in the night that is absolutely wrong. This is a very silly question. I don’t want to hurt anybody, may be they haven’t face these situations ever or may be they are very junior in experience of work. There are some factors which leads the employees to work late night and even in holidays also:
a) If the employee is a hard worker and he understands the responsibility for which, he has been appointed.
b)Where day and night work goes usually, the managers those who, thinks about their work progress, they stays at late hours. They even come again at night also if, they stays nearby the site to enhance their juniors.
c) In summer times, in construction projects workers do not work in the day time and to complete the project the work at late night.
d) All the time bound projects of any organization require much more time to concentrate to complete within a stipulated time, you have to give time for that purpose.So, there are countless reasons and may be these are all part of our job also and some may not be.
But, I do agree with one thing that, employee should get some benefits for that also. Otherwise morally they will feel that we are not getting nothing and that type of company never sustain in the market for a long time. I have seen there are so many companies who, offers extra benefit for this, may be monetarily or it may be by other way.
