Its a good site to express your thought about different topics, government and social issues but many a times i have seen people getting emotional and writing out of their frustration. I think these things should be avoided on a social site or may be they are taking advantage of their freedom to write. I can show you an example by the following link and can also find many of such kind: http://toostep.com/debate/tendulkar-sets-record-with-30-000-runs-is-he-the-greatest-pl

It is very good platform for the youngsters to get insight of trends in the business environment that affect every industry. for people like who have just completed their education it is learning opportunity to argue with the leaders in the industry.

I have joined Too Step because I found it an intellectually stimulating social networking site, much different from its peers which are more like virtual college canteens. The Knowledge and Insight sections are the backbone of Too Step. However, I feel a strong need to start community groups on two core areas -- Foreign Policy and Defence. I can help considerably in this as I have over a quarter century of journalistic experience in these areas, provided some responsible official of Too Step asks me for it.

Mr. Murthy, thanks for this. The members in Too Step are professionally holding good experience. That is what induced us to join here.If the discussions are more based on sharing professional experience, then it will be a more useful to a beginners like me. Non-professional discussions also can be debated or shared if it is really useful. Others we may avoid. Thanks for pointing it out.

Toostep, obviously, has to go a long way! I agree with Mr. Murthy, this site has of late become a pastime entity! Good articles and ideas are missing! The reason being, any one wants to give insight looks for a potential target audience. In most of the cases, I find the comments are absurd, points not very well taken. This kind of superficial approach to any issue will only dilute the interest level. I did see a good writers in the past have taken a back-seat. Another point I would like to make here is for any useful discussion, there has to be a meaningful follow-up. You generate consensus on a hot topic and do something to alert the authorities, government, policy-makers. You have a very nice platform to generate views from cross-section of society, that will really help the policy makers, UN and other bodies to understand the issue in perspective. All like-minded people will certainly contribute effectively if their churned energy is generating some useful endeavour. A platform with the magnitude of this nature can do much more than what is happening! Who knows, the creators have different business strategy, viz., selling our views, database, etc. in order to rake up funds for future!

Mr Murthy, though I understand and empathise with your feelings, this is the world we live in. Daily we come across some useful and nice things, along with a lot of not so useful stuff. Its up to us to embrace all that is useful, and ignore all that is not. Also, freedom of expression means that people have a right to air their views, and while we may not like some of these, its a great deal better than not having such freedoms

Yes, it's our downfall as debate /insight/question etc is started by an individual & not by Toostep , & this is the main feature of every social network. But still I consider Toostep is more knowledgeable social site than other sites.
