Twigmore is a new app on facebook, a start up which focuses on Travel and friends, i.e., it will recommend traveling to the destinations your friends and their friends have traveled. This is because they bellieve that while most of the travel experts show places they believe more in the people. They say we tend to trust a friend and his experiences more than anything else and so this will help people to make their travel easy. This indeed is an innovative idea. What do you think about it?

Will such an idea work on Facebook?

Well, I must say people onFacebook loose interest in things very fast and thus this makes it difficult for such start ups to survive only based on Facebook.

I tend to agree that it wont last for long. Social networking sites require a certain type of person to use them for maximum potential - a person who is practically transparent on all issues. Most of us take a while to get to that condition. It is not easy to practice that level of sharing. While the sense of privacy - a very basic and in built sense and not the one we talk about - remains, this kind of ideas will achievee only limited success. our sense of privacy and our ddesire to be a bit different will act aas brakes on such ideas,

Yes Veena it is difficult to survive for any start ups on the basis of Face Book alone. hence I agree with your point of view on the subject.

Yes, Since you say it's a business model it will benefit for sure, provided all critical importance and security measures are covered in the business model. It will work wonders if it's designed with ethical business model in mind. It's the best reference, you do na need to check elsewhere, other than ur frnds.

Once people begin to share their respective experiences, it may catch up.

Yes, its a good idea. Friends tell us more even without words, on the pictures posted on FB. Going to the same place that my friend visited is good if I plan to visit with my family. I don't want to adventure completely unknown places with my family even if its an urban area.

I think it is a great idea to share experiences about your travel so that a friend or yourself can plan a good trip next time around. Quite often when we travel on our own to new places, we might miss seeing some interesting place or doing something novel, such things can come to the fore with the help of twigmore. Whats more it sounds like a good place to share your travel pics too.

I second MR.Saket jain here. There is no monopoly in any field if we take the global prospective.
Budding business owners should go virtual wherever and whenever possible. In a fledgling startup, the last thing you need to worry about is excessive infrastructure or expensive overhead. It’s already a difficult enough task to generate income...
