It depend what kind of guidance they get from there parents. There are ways to block certain channels and proper one-on-one with parents can give them better idea and hence not spoil them.

yes they spoils. TV channels are responsible for the violent behavior of the young children. time which should be spent with their grand parents to learn values, toady's children are spending on TV.

Everything is having postive and negative impact. TV is one of most informatic and enternainment media and one should use it in better way to maximise the benifits. Lots of yoga, dance, coloring, quizes etc are there which can benifits the kids most. One has to decide what their kids want and what is needed for them.
