Due to IPL and its progress only few things come good, like local players getting name and fame according to there performance and potential. But on the other side, if things goes in such a manner than in near future we will found that cricket will not be played by players but plays by businessman, and it becomes gamblers games. This type of formate make cricket a game, which no plays with game spirit It will becomes a way of earning money in short span of time for player and for companies.

If I put on a viewer's hat and think of this entire IPL and the other cricketing events that are happening, yes it is indeed an overdose. T20 WC and IPL have added the glamor and glitter in cricket. But it is getting too much into the viewers. Either they show a repeat telecast, or highlights and by the time these two get over, its time for the live match. If I put on a businessman's hat, then yes its a fantastic platform for various brands to market their products/services and generate revenue out of this mega event. All in all - a fantastic money minting business but with lot of sugary stuff which might cause viewers to be diabetic at some stage.

Presently people watch matches only if teir team si wining Now with 2 new teams the audience is now going ot be more skewed, take Mumbai adn Pune team , or Chennai adn Kochi team This is moving towards saturation Further we have numerous matches international one day and test series which are also going to add to this issue Too much is too bad for both the masses and cricketers as the real value of cricket is lost

Perhaps we can see the threshold of fanfare for cricket reach this IPL. Everything from Vodafone, to Ice Cream Cone, Insurance to Tour romance, eatables to seatables, real estates to Economic Debates, all the sectors that even mildly relate to cricket are making their upper threshold effort to catch the attention of the viewers. So probably, with the advent of craze in cricket, audience is bound to see an overdose of advertisements. Also there is a sentiment mix that will make them a little messed up in their minds about which side to choose/support , as the players are spread well across teams. In the end of the show, the people will have seen 50 percent commercials, 50 percent cricket, and will remember more of the ads than of cricket, and gradually reduce their affinity to the game. Making Such a commercialized move towards cricket only indicates that the threshold of Cricket fanfare is about to be reached. It is a setback the cricketing world will realise only when they will have a large fanfare lost in this moneymaking venture...

With the entry of new teams in the IPL, there will be an overdose of cricket as the number of teams will increase and so the amount of matches will also increase. Because of this, the number of cricket matches, viewers will get bored and lose their interest from IPL matches.

It doesnt make much differance from 8 team to 10. This is a part of the expansion of IPL business.Getting more oppurtunities to the youngsters as well as getting more viewers from the respective areas. Instead of viewing the repeated substandered programme, let our new generation be more sportive of watching this.
