SBI has brought out a smart ulip product with a single very interesting feature which could be big for the product.
There are reward/incentive schemes in some organizations for idea generation. An independent professional like me does not have such opportunities. I cant plead in a public forum that I know the answer but can not give because it is my IP.
In a retail banking product, getting documentation and logging in is the most time consuming and delicate job. Wrongdoing here can make the loan bad. If you reject it when you could have actually considered it, 1) you are losing a customer 2) You are demotivating the staff 3) You are wasting lot of money both on the part of the customer as also your own 4) Your performance and opportunity cost will be higher. If you can save on five out of ten rejections, you are far better off and gain.
Instead of my idea being graded, I would prefer a user (Say a Product Manager in ICICI Bank) clicking a drop down button which selects "Would like further discussion". Then, the onus will be on the contributor of the idea to approach the potential client. This way, the client will get services of his choice at his doorstep even when he enriching himself professionally. For the contributor, he gets an audience which could turn into a potential blusiness opportunity. Too Step can convert the button into a drop down selector. If the selection is something other than a "thumbs up" than it needs to be displayed. The voting pattern can change depending on the option selected.
If IP rights issues arise, this interaction will become crucial.
Since I am responding to a clarification sought by an IT professional, I need to clarify that inclusion of the alternative (intelligent compliance) model will enrich the IT product you design to a specific industry. Here, it is not only the IT enablement that is the question but perhaps a first hand original feature built into a client's own activity. Even to your own colleagues, the alternative (intelligent) compliance mindset when developed will bring up many innovations in your own sphere.
I am stressing on intelligence here because it is not easy to justify an exception exceptionally. It should test many parametres. If a borrower has crossed 55 years and becomes ineligible for loan, he could justify through the alternative compliance route why he should get it. This justification should as normal process; clarify 100 per cent why the age limit should be waived in this particular case. While the compliance is a single stage (that he is <55 years) the justification goes through 4-5 tests. This approach would be extremely beneficial in IT sphere.
