Technology is very important at the same time as a developing country .India has other priorities also. As Mr.gopala krishna said, we are lucky because of globalization............... As Ms.neha told improvement means more pollution. We should work out the ways to improve environment at the same time

technology makes life easier and products become available at cheap rates with advancement bt in case of biotechnology and nanotechnology techniques r so costly and unstable, thts why these are growing like cycas tree

I feel future will be of smarter machines Aritificial Intelligence will come in picture on very large scale. Possibly technology will be able to replicate itself with improved version automaticallym, just like living organism reproduce new generations..nanotechnology may dominate almost everything in near time.

Technololgy does improve life or otherwise we would still be travelling in bullock carts and gossiping at the local tea shop instead of being online. But care should be taken to ensure that the developed technology is easy to adapt and reaches everyone.

Biotechnology and nanotechnology is quite different in relationship between them.Biotechnology develops the cloning method of test tube baby, now a days we are not looking the olden days of couple with lonigness ,Engineering field is opened a high profile standard of using lighter materials in the form of nano tubes and so on.

Technology has its own way of making progress, irrespective of 'push' given by govts, researchers, companies etc.The probability of a faster advance in technology is increased by more investment in men, money and material. We will have to define what we mean by making life 'easier' or 'lazier',if it removes a current problem bugging the population then it is required. But if it is going to make the population 'lazier' then we need to rethink on the technology.

I am a 70 year old Professional (Economist / Pharmacist)so you will appreciate that in my early Business and Professional Life there was not a great deal of sophisticated Technoogy available. With The World's Population approaching 7 Billion the Development and Use of every possible aspect of Technology is Vital to Human Beings and Animals Welfare. Without it The World will " Cave In " on itself from the number one need to feed and support the Worlds Population. Here in New Zealand we are very fortunate with a Small Population - plenty of space - high Agricultural Productivity and a Caring Society. But as I travel to The Philippines - India - China - Mexico - The Middle East etc., I can see the burden of 7 Billion People on the World's Surface.Any thinking Individual who ignores the potential for Self Destruction is a fool.

Use of technology to curb population explosion first! We have plenty, but the resources are scattered and disparate, technology advancement can address only 35-40% of our problem, and the balance (60% of our population) lives in abject poverty! Yes. Certainly, 40% will benefit in the rapid technological advancement, not others!

I think if we use biotechnology and nanotechnology and the general technology to make new things to make life easier, it will be helpful for all.If we make mobile phones with 1000GB memory capacity, 100 Megapixel camera power and 1000x zoom and foldable screen for viewing and typing with good battery back up, having internet and cable tv capacity, it will help all the people of the world a lot. If we develop a new material which is very strong and very durable and which cannot be cut or burned easily and which is easy to put in mould like pvc,for mass manufacturing of small homes it will be helpful for all people of the world. If we can develop small A/C's which have same function and less weight and which consume less power, it will benefit all.If we develop seeds which can grow into plants and give fruits and crop in one day itself it will help all the people of the world.

Innovative and lateral thoughts by any man with scientific Mind deployed to research and develop product, processes, applications etc comes with sustained efforts to produce PERFECT results. Mere Results identified in quick effort called "Fast Track" technology will possibly be come hidden with handicaps unknown. When used ...one such is NUCLEAR POWER Production Technology ...you know that despite in Depth Research in Preventive Maintenance developed and adopted, the PERIL of JAPAN's Nuclear Power Plants could not stand the test of SAFETY. So, caution is if all possible concerns are not addressed for SAFE utility of Technology, developed on Fast Track Research...user community may face Dangers unknown. That does not mean that Fast Track Development of Technology is not preferred whereas Fast track SAFETY of Usage also must go hand in hand.

Exaggeration of anything is devastating and this applies in any field whatsoever. Apparently in case of technological development is concerned it is hazardous to develop anything in haphazardness. Look at the condition of Japan Tsunami and Chernobyl disaster ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernobyl_disaster )what has happened is clear so we must progress with all the safety measures in consideration.

Bio Technology in India has completed it's first step towards progress. But when it comes to nano tech, it's progress is confined in a few particular areas and mostly in collaboration with polymer science. I found a large number of factories in rural parts of India where the nano technology is being used. But lack of innovation is making the plants prolifically bad. A large number of small scale Indian industries are not ready to take the advantages of these technologies. Lack of innovation, vile implementation is not leading us to progress.

Hi, I'm not saying anything wrong about technology, but at the same time, we should ensure proper measures are in place to take care of such technological advancements. It should happen like people who want to make use of such newer technology for the betterment of every people. Advanced technology ending up in the wrong hands will doom this world.
