Which among the two is better in today's time people, like where should VC's be betting their money on...whether it is Green technology which will have an impact in coming days or on Internet which has dominated the scene till today and holds the same for future as well.

I think VC's are better of betting their money on Internet as Internet gives that audience which one wants, and one can easily see the prior models and go for a better one and the monetization part is very easy in Internet dominated co's than Green tech where the future is a bit uncertain, as still one is not clear on how one should go green and cut that much elusive carbon emission where countries are struggling to cut the emission with so much of efforts, in going green they are infact increasing the  emission, so Green tech still is in a nascent stage at the moment. So internet domain holds good for VC's any given day.

VCs basically consider more risk more gain concept. VCs will be more interested in something which is new/unique rather then sticking to the same old Internet concept where you can see almost 100 new product per day. Green technology doesn't means only cutting in carbon emission, yes its about going green and people are now concern about global warming and other factors related to Environment, example is use of Li - ion batteries which are more effective and better than old chemical based ones.I know it has nothing to do with green tech but Green tech is just not going green its the next big leap in technology, now new innovations in technology fields also consider its effect on global warming As far as consumers concern, they will also be interested example is people now use CFL rather than normal tubes.

From my point of view it is Green Technology that would outpace and would be profitable in long term growth..

@Yogesh, you nailed it. Internet is the only source of true information. To hell with the speculative News channels, they are all biased serving the interest of the Corporates and the Government.I mean "Corporatocracy", is the next form of Government. "THE NEW WORLD ORDER", has begun.

Green tech is our future; internet is in its zenith. Some adjustments will happen in the near future in internet space, as its vulnerable from various sorts. Investors would reap benefit from green tech rather than internet.

Internet has much wider scope vis-a-vis to green technology. Investor will get more oppertunity to diversify his risk and provide hedge to his investments. Green technology has very limited scope and it's not widely used. Internet is used by a large population and almost every big business is connected through it. Use of green technology is restricted to some developed countries and besides this use of it is very costly. As far as the investor will think of just returns he will certainly go for investing in internet. However the question is not complete and internet is a very ambiguous term in it, still i've tried to give answer to it. I think she should be more specific about the term used in it with clear meaning coz there are many areas under this term where a investor can invest his capital

When ROI is concerned, VC's support the recovery aspects rather than green tech efforts. It is like opening a shop and not keeping the goods stock inside. The green tech efforts are mostly done by corporates after achieving their targets and as a part of social obligations.

I would say Green tech because not only does it have a future but also the fact that it hardly attracts much of VC investment makes it a better option. There are hundreds of VC's investing in the Internet and it is bound to reach a stagnation level very soon.

It is Green Tech that is better for long-term investment. It will flourish more than any thing as it is required not only for our future , even for our sustenance and survival.

i think it is green tech where more investments are expected within a short/span duration.as this is a sector which contributes  to the nation's growth and also leads a healthy society.

While I support green tech, one has to think a proverb: Don't put all eggs in one basket". While one foot is strong on internet, the other shall peep into promising ventures and the movement should be smooth tapering. Any abrupt movement will cause jerk / risk.
