Yes, Undoubtedly. From a process perspective, there is a recovery of resources which could be reused, sold as byproducts, contributing to the revenues and adding to the efficiency. Now from a Social responsibility perspective, an efficient recycle process remains the primary criteria which rewards your organization with a good citizen badge in the local community. Environmental concern is obviously addressed in the social responsibility.

Sure,it not only helps economy, ther is a value addition in the recycling process, and infact those who are connected to Steel/iron industry they understand this better. The whole process is a multi million MT/$ and nearly 2% to 3% of the total input in an integrated steel plant is from recycle source!

Recycling does help economy development. This is a new avenue for business, employment and waste reduction/utilisation. No doubt, it is an environmental issues. I think one needs to see the root cause of this environmental issue and make the recycling eco friendly, this itself is a bigger work for researchers and economy development. Waste generation cannot be stopped and if recycling is stopped - what will happen to effective utilisation of materials?

Though recycleing is good both as business and in environmental prospective but at the same time it should not be used for any industrial use as a raw material/s. It can cause catostrophy I hope friends youy understand.

Follow nature, that could be your business successes. The nature is re-cycling the water by herself. The air is re-cycled by nature. So why we should not re-cycle. The man is viewing all his deeds on a business angle. So let us combine the nature to the modern business together to say natures business.

Recycling is predominantly an environmental concern. It also becomes a business focus as people/resources are employed to undertake the recycling activity. However, in some cases, on account of key environmental concerns, even if it does not lead to business improvement, the activity needs to be undertaken as part of environmental improvements.....

Of course it may be a good business and may have other advantages. But I would not recommend the recycled material to be used in electrical power transmission equipment. For example, in case it is used in electrical cables with copper/alumiium conductors PVC insulated [ scrap material of conductors and PVC are recycled and used ] it will lead to loose the good electrical parameters in conductors and loss in dielectric strength of PVC. As a result there will not be proper flow of current and improper conductivity in conductors, which will create more resistance and heat and in turn lead to burning of cables and other electrical equipments connected. Thanks for the referral Ms. Isha Verma.

Definitely yes,, no doubt, let it be in any field, consider waste water management, just for information i'll tell you that if an average manufacturing plant starts recycling and reusing its waste water for sanitary or gardening or for manufacturing again then their fresh water consumption can come down to 70%, converting it into cost saved annually will be huge amount,, and many countries recycling business is now somewhere in the mainstream businesses.. I truly support recycling very good debate (Meaningful)

There is fantastic scope for recycling in India. Some really good business plans ith above average returns on investment are definitely possible. The sad part of it is that there is no recycling infrastructure iin this country. Even today when the awareness is high, how many house holds segregate their garbage? That is the first step. Industrial recycling is happening in flashes here and there. But when it comes to doing it in an organized manner we are definitly way....way....behind.

Its purely an Enviromental Concern, later it comes to economic development. Right from few decades ago, people were really started to using more plastic or ployethylene for different purpose. when increase in usage they started to dump the waste material all over the place. when we are not able to control it then we really started thinking how to use the waste materials for other purpose. As it goes, we use the waste material for making roads, extracting current and so on...

It should be,it should necessarily be,it must be done for enviromental concern only.It must not get converted in to business. In our country it has got converted in to business and people having lust for easy money, used to steal good material and sell it as a waste. You can see in all cities-->Good iron drainage cover have been disappeared and sold as waste in scrap market. Now this business is expanding and is in the hands of local mafias. In my opinion only Govt. should collect the scrap and recycle. This will generate thousands of jobs all over the country and then will improve the economy.
