yes. we are the responsible for the current condition.we only knew to blame others.we are not taking any steps to change and we are just attaching ourself in it. we do not want to grow out from the position where we are.the condition can't be changed until we change ourself.

Yes we the citizens of India are responsible for the current position of India. Look it doesn't matter whether you are a politician, bureucrat or a businessman or a salaried person. Everybody is responsible in his own sense and there is no denying the fact. We can't say the system is bad. Who has created the system it is one of us. We can't blame any particular person, group or individual for the state of affairs because they are not the ones who have come out of India. Ofcourse they are also citizens of India like us. The only difference is we want to pass on the buck. We are not ready to take the responsibility. We should invest our energies instead in improving the situation for the common good.

Partially Yes, We are not well educated peoples of India. To hold a good degree or diploma is not education, it's a part of it.We split anywhere, avoid to vote, throw garbage anywhere, break the rules, wastage of water, energy, some youth going very blindly with politicians, and some others. It is our responsibility to avoid above things. We can solve our country problems slightly from ourselves. If we elect good peoples, follow the rules, understand the basic problems it will be good.

Every small particle of sand, however insignificant it may be,..carried matters when it comes to building bridges with boulders and rocks. Everyone has something to contribute however petty it might be. It should not be left as though "my contribution is very tiny or insignificant so it does not matter to the country if i leave it out." Everyone should make his or her honest contribution certainly. Only when this happens in all states and union territories will the contribution of India be significant and noticeable.

Yes we elect and select people of our choice to govern us with a fervent hope he/she will help us,our city, country etc.Very rarely we come across politicians interested to work for us,solve our problems. There has been a consistent erosion in the quality of people elected by us.Politicians across the length and breadth of our country invariably are very intelligent and smart, that people who come forward to exhibit their intention for a common causer have been taken care of and ensure many do not follow.Naturally others keep themselves confined to their own family work and decide not to come forward to fight for a common cause.Very very rarely today we come across or hear of people coming forward to lead others even for a just cause. That is the situation in which we are placed. We are waiting to know who is to bell the cat.

Hello Denny, I agree with you. Educated people always think that they are superior. But it is not so. Whatever the position you hold people should help others and the needy. Even politicians, ministers cannot be blamed. Administration run by the IAS officers to be blamed. These are the Officers should guide the minister and the head of the government. If this is happening you can expect better result. K Rajagopalan,

We always blame the system, beauraucrats, politician, but no one has else ever taken a initiative to be one of them and change INDIA. The reason for it is that today India has lost its unity in diversity. People are not divided by religion but by Status

Can someone answer a question. Do we relate our job as a contribution to the national growth? If we do relate, then we are aware and awareness would bring wisdom. India has grown and we the people are definitely responsible for it. Lets look to the positive aspect now!

Sorry to differ Kavita, It is we citizens/people are responsible for the present condition/situation. It is total apathy & lack of patriotism & discipline. encouraging corruption & indiscipline if it is benefit to us. when you sell your vote for money, what kind of admin & govt. you expect. We never question our leaders & insist on development work or even aware of whats going on in our locality, forget about country. Always blaming system, corruption, politicians. Not all Politicians are bad & not all the bureaucrats are bad. Unless people support them & their plan & implementation how for they can go without peoples' support. No point in blaming the System Kavita, who makes the system? It is people. who should see the proper implement? Again it is People. The Recent CWG turnaround who did it ? it is the people, we all know how the same system & bureaucracy worked wonders. Due to public pressure, how they are chasing the corrupt & guilty. Ultimately It is peoples' strength that determines the country's over all progress. Our Country need Alert Citizens not whining & blaming one. Lets understand & act.

For a man its 21 years for a girl its 18 years, How many Indians have reached adulthood in this time very few why? In Hindi its called Jawani and Indian cultural habits revolve and develop around taboo related to sex and sexual hygiene religion make things complicated, You have to be an adult or (jawan) to be productive Adult hood has lots of complications in India, fact no one knows what is what, In such a scenario cunning people (politicians) take the centre stage, not so cunning people take to business, people with destructive traits become dons goons or sarkari goons (police wala), example west Bengal. We encounter floods when we have heavy rains; we have huge population that is hungry, sick, uneducated, deprived, why? We have too many languages to may dialects, religious social customs habits, which drop resource generation, due to communication gap resulting in the situation we are in now, some are privileged some of them take steps to make a difference as long as you don’t bang into political cross currents which may become inevitable if the action is going to hit large masses. To be able to be functional, you need to reach to people, for example Nano was to be manufactured at singur (west Bengal) the left front gave the clearance (License land) didn’t walk with them, It’s like you said “I DO” in front of the priest and ran away in to opposite (different) direction. We can say definitely the expectations and communication were not in place. How many of us have pan India knowledge and tolerance? Ms Kavita instead of blaming let’s do what we can, get the system modified, if you show a cunning more cunning things they are highly interested, so take that approach, we will reach out. Its like if some one is very mobile crazy talk about latest stuff.

I don't think the common man is responsible for the mess that India is in. When India got her independence , the middle-class was possibly the same. However , all of us will agree that the politicians of those days were far superior and cleaner compared to the politicians of the last few decades. I think that if our politics were cleaned , our society as a whole will become better. In what way is the common man responsible for India's pot-holed roads , famines killing hundreds while a million tons of foodgrains rot in the FCI godowns , floods submerging hundreds of villages and ruining the lives of thousands year after year , .... the list goes on.

Citizens means the common people, not the politicians or beurocrates. Common people can only shout for the justice, they are crying for better India but implimentation or change of soceity does not depend on them and therefore, common citizens are not at all responsible for dark side of our India.
