Bomb blast by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Sourcehttp://www.expressindia.com/latest-news/two-held-for-blast-in-thane-bomb-in-vashi/323787/ The state Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Monday made its first major breakthrough in the two cases of crude bombs planted at auditoriums in Navi Mumbai and Thane recently, with the arrest of two men claiming affiliation to an organisation called the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti.
According to the ATS, the two were also involved in a minor explosion at a Panvel cinema hall screening the film Jodhaa Akbar in February this year. The two claim to have planted the explosives on their own and not at the behest of any organisation.
According to the ATS, the duo claim their attacks were planned in retaliation to the screenings of the movie Jodhaa Akbar and the Marathi play Aamhi Panchpute, as they felt these caricaturised Hindu deities and insulted Hindu sentiments. The Hindu Janjagruti Samiti had earlier staged protests against the screening of the movie and the producer of the play.
The arrested accused are Ramesh Hanumant Gadkari (50) and Mangesh Dinkar Nikam (34). They were picked up by the ATS early on Monday from New Panvel and remanded to police custody till June 24.
“They have been arrested in connection with the crude bomb planted at Vishnudas Bhave auditorium in Vashi on May 31, and the bomb that exploded at Gadkari Rangayatan auditorium in Thane on June 4. They have been booked under the Indian Penal Code for attempt to murder, voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means, and voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous means, and under the Explosives Substances Act. ... we have evidence that they are also involved in the small explosion that took place in a theatre screening Jodhaa Akbar at Panvel on February 20,” said Joint Commissioner of Police (ATS) Hemant Karkare.
“They have told us that they are full-time members of the Hindu Jangruti Samiti and the Sanatan Sanstha. However, we have not recovered any documents to prove their membership. They claim that they did not act on orders from any organisation. However, we are probing the possible involvement of the organisation. Office bearers have been questioned and more arrests are likely,” said Karkare.
Following the arrests, the Mumbai coordinator of the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, Uday Dhuri, insisted that the organization was not involved.
“Gadkari was not instigated to react this way by us. It was on his own that the idea occurred to him because of the portrayal of the Mahabharat in the play, and even when the police came to find him, we helped them,” said Dhuri. He added that though there are people having associations with both, the Sanathan Sanstha is independent of the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti. The duo told the ATS that a combination of ammonium nitrate and gelatin sticks had been planted by them in all three cases. According to the ATS, Nikam was arrested in February 2006 in Ratnagiri, for allegedly throwing country-made bombs at the residence of a man who was believed to be conducting Christian rituals there.
The two accused operated from the Sanatan Sankul Ashram in Devegaon area of Panvel, where the bomb was assembled. Gadkari is a diploma holder in electrical engineering and was the one who prepared the circuit, while Nikam helped with sourcing the explosives, said police.

Wasting away your life for Hindu Terror - a young women's story! sourcehttp://www.financialexpress.com New Delhi: Former ABVP activist and key terror accused Pragya Singh Thakur has told the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad that fellow radical Ramji Kalsangra was responsible for the September 29, 2008, Malegaon bomb blast which he executed using her motorcycle.
She has also told investigators that the casualty figure of seven in that blast would have been higher had it not been for a “faulty bomb timer”.
The Mumbai ATS recorded this statement on October 15, 2008, after Pragya Thakur did not reveal much in her two other statements on October 11 and October 12, 2008.
This statement, a copy of which is with The Indian Express, assumes significance as the Home Ministry proposes that the National Investigation Agency bring under its purview all terror cases involving alleged Hindu extremists, including Malegaon, Samjhauta Express and the murder of ex-RSS pracharak Sunil Joshi.
Pragya Thakur’s statement in Marathi focuses on a 30-minute critical meeting with Ramji Kalsangra — who had been using her Freedom motorcycle after the murder of Sunil Joshi in December 2007 — at the Mahakaal Dharmashala in Ujjain on October 8, 2008. Kalsangra has been missing since the bomb blast.
Thakur said she bought the vehicle (registered number GJ 05 BR 1920) from Surat in 2003 with financial assistance from her “rakhi brother” Sunil Joshi of Dewas. In November 2004, Thakur gave the motorcycle to Joshi for use for Rs 22,000. She said the motorcycle was never sold to Sunil Joshi.
Arriving in Ujjain after taking the night train from Indore, Thakur was received by Kalsangra’s aide Dharmendra. The meeting was fixed at the Mahakaal Dharmashala over a safe mobile phone handed over to Thakur by the Kalsangra aide at the railway station.
During the 30-minute conversation, Thakur says she asked Kalsangra about the motorcycle and asked him to come with her to Surat. The statement quotes Kalsangra saying: “I have used your vehicle for a bomb blast in Malegaon, Maharashtra.” When she asked him why did he do this, Kalsangra replied: “It happened.”
Thakur then said that she would have to go to jail as the vehicle was in her name. Ramji Kalsangra replied that she need not worry as he had changed the number-plate and filed off the vehicle’s engine and chassis number. He told her the police would find no clues.
According to her statement, Kalsangra told her that “two or three people” had died in Malegaon. Ramji said: “There was a mistake in timing of the bomb explosion. I tried to park the vehicle in one or two crowded places but could not do so. After this, I parked the vehicle at one place and left immediately. At that point, there was not much crowd in the vicinity and there was so much explosive packed in the vehicle that the entire rear-end was blown away.”
Thakur met the police inspector in Surat on October 10, 2008, with Kalsangra buying her a ticket to Surat and giving her another Rs 15,000 for expenditure.
In the statement, Thakur is also quoted as having said that she met Lt Colonel Srikant Prasad Purohit on October 5, 2008 in Jabalpur. Purohit told her that he had orchestrated bomb blasts in Orissa, Karnataka and Maharashtra, “killing a large number of people.”

PUROHIT sent text messages to associates saying “Singh has sung the song” after Pragya’s arrest, which, the NIA believes, could indicate that Purohit, Pragya and others were working together.

Kerala:All the 13 accused in a bomb attack on a house in 2000, in which three members of a family including a six-year old girl were injured, were found guilty by a local court in Kannur on Friday.
The Thalassery Additional Sessions Court (Fast Track-3) Judge B Ramakanth found the activists of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party [ Images ] guilty and said the sentence would be delivered on November 17.
The court found them guilty under various IPC sections including IPC 307 (attempt to murder) and Section 3 and 5 of the Explosives Substance Act.
The court dropped charges against the sixth accused K Pradeepan, following his death in a bomb explosion while handling crude bombs at Cheruvanchery last Monday.
The court examined 23 witnesses in the case.
According to the police, the incident occurred during panchayat polls on September 27, 2000, when a group of BJP/RSS workers threw a crude bomb when the girl was playing with her brother in front of her uncle's residence at Cheruvanchery.
The activists had assumed that some Congressmen were hiding in the house, a fall-out of the dispute between the rival Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress over electoral malpractices.
Besides the girl, whose right leg had to be amputated, her brother and mother were also injured. PS: Breaking away from dynastic rule, RSS will name the bomb factory in kerala as Nathuram Godse Institute for Bomb Making

According to Sahara, the blast was so strong that the wall of the room in which the blast occurred collapsed. In other rooms, the walls were damaged. Pieces of glass were strewn everywhere.
The bomb blasted in a house in Rajeev Nagar area on Sunday afternoon. According to the report, the police recovered 3 kg lead oxide, 500 g red lead, 1 kg potassium nitrate, 11 country made grenades, several bomb pins, seven timers and batteries from the spot. According to the IG, “The recovery shows that a massive explosion was on the cards.
The deceased have been identified as Rajeev Mishra and Bhupinder Singh. While Rajeev is the son of S S Mishra, the landlord of the house, Bhupinder was a resident of Shastri Nagar. Mishra, a retired Kanpur Electric Supply Company employee, lives in the nearby Nankari village. He had rented a few rooms of his house to several students.
Rajeev’s occupied the room in which the blast took place. As he works in Lucknow, he used to visit the place on Sundays.
According to a senior police officer, the material found could have been used for several explosions. Of the seven timers recovered, two were attached with batteries with the help of wires.
It is reported that Piyush, who used to work as a complaint officer in a mobile company in Lucknow, came home with Bhupinder and asked the residents of the hostel to vacate the rooms on the pretext of checking the electric wiring. Shiv Sharan Mishra, Rajiv’s father, a retired employee of Kesko had built this private hostel, which had nine rooms and 14 students stayed in the hostel and Rajiv had kept one room for himself. As soon as the occupants left the hostel, a massive blast took place. Recovery of a timer device and prohibited explosive raw materials show that a major terror plot was being hatched there. Bhupinder used to run a photo studio in the Sarvoday Nagar locality of Kanpur and his shop was close to the city’s popular J.K. temple, police said. According to the police the explosives were meant to be spread during Sunday’s celebrations. On monday police recovered some crude hand grenades, lead oxide, red lead, potassium nitrate, bomb pins, timers and batterires from the spot. The police felt that the quantity of explosives stored there was enough to destroy half of Kanpur.
The most notable fact about the perpetrators of this conspiracy, who died during this explosion, is that both of them belonged to Bajrang Dal, the ‘storm troopper’ wing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The leaders of the Bajrang Dal have conceded that they ‘worked with the organisation’ some time back and one of them happened to be the convenor of the city wing.
Looking at the nature of the crime, and the fact that a major tragedy could be averted, it is expected that the state government with necessary help from the central government would try to unearth the real conspirators who were behind the plan. It is a positive sign that the police have recovered mobiles of both of them and now if they wish they can take the case to its logical end.
After the blast in Bangalore and Ahmedabad, all fingers were pointed towards Muslims. Intelligence along with Media would hide all reports and facts that would point fingers towards the non Muslim communities.Now this explosion may point the finger the other day. Senior congress leader Dig Vijay Singh had said in an interview with Tehelka that he had evidence of Of RSS and VHP making bombs. Now, this explosion may prove that Dig Vijay may be right.

If this is allowed then tomorrow some group could even use armed mobs to force Parliament to pass certain other Bills,” said Sanghani. “Parliament passes the Bills under the constitution and no civilian group or committee can challenge it. No one in the country can be allowed use coercion and crisis to get an Act they want passed.”

At a time when disagreeing with Anna Hazare is tantamount to treason, punishable with instant lynching by belligerent netizens, I choose to stick my neck out in the hope that somewhere out there, some people still have enough balance left to listen to a contrary view.
While I am unequivocally in favour of a scrupulously apolitical movement against corruption, Anna’s latest fast is terribly disillusioning.
It takes no personal courage to join an anti-corruption rally, but how many of us are ready to stand up in our daily lives to resist everyday corruption that one comes up against? How many of us take the trouble to lend more than moral support to a friend, neighbour, acquaintance who seeks to remedy an injustice? How many of us aren’t corrupt ourselves either as ‘givers’ or ‘takers’ of bribe in some form or the other? How many of us are completely untouched by the culture of ‘doing and seeking favours’ for mutual benefit even in the private sector?
Make no mistake, the only way the culture of rampant corruption will ever be rooted out is by the refusal of every citizen to compromise and pay up, every single time. Not by lazy, big ticket, populist measures like fasts unto death and dharnas.
It’s no profound truth, just simple common sense. When you refuse to pay bribe, why is it that the person demanding it simply brushes you aside? Because he knows you are in a miniscule minority. Your fellow citizens are more than willing to oblige the bribe-taker, so he sees no need to humour you.
For, do you think that if a mammoth organisation like the Jan Lokpal Bill envisages is set up it is going to be staffed from top to bottom by angels? Pray where are we going to find these angels? Going by Indian society’s corruption quotient, we might end up with by far the most extortionist institution ever. For what better avenue of palm greasing and blackmail exists than dealing with complaints against anyone?
Thus Anna Hazare’s fast has the fatal potential of putting people’s faith in the wrong kind of impersonal solutions.
Moreover, can such so-called people’s movements be considered truly representative?
Figures floating around suggest that 4.4 million net users supported Anna, while the total number of netizens in India is nearly 40 million. What then about the ones who chose to be silent and outnumber the vocal ones several times over?
Apparently, a million people have protested in the metros in the last few days. Well, what about the 153,482,356 (153 million) Indians who voted for the current government? In any representative system, should 5.4 million people be allowed to dictate to a government elected by 153 million people?
Sorry, that’s simply not enough in a constitutional democracy. Not the least because the media has itself been guilty of over-hyped and rabidly one-sided coverage. If the fourth estate starts playing to the gallery and passes off propaganda as reportage, it loses its right to be considered a credible opinion-maker. For how do we know whether the credentials of Team Anna have not been ‘sexed up’?
Why does the media handle Team Anna with kid gloves? Why are no tough questions asked? Why is there no healthy skepticism about their credentials, their methods, their world view, their logic, their thoughts? Why this cloying worship of Anna Hazare? What if he turns out to be a flawed God?
A word about the images of huge crowds on TV. In the first two days after Anna was detained, there were hardly any protest in Pune. But channels kept flashing visuals of huge turnouts and protests, despite evidence to the contrary. Lo and behold, suddenly on Thursday (an industrial holiday in large parts of Pune), we had a rally of 30,000 people. If this is not copycat tokenism, what is?

Anna Hazare got arrested and was sent to jail that step was correctly taken by the police to maintain law and order in the Capital City of India which is always vulnerable to different threats periodically, just to take advanced and extended precautionary measures the police was right, unfortunately the public of this country is brainwashed with hypnotically molded words of the greatest flattering monkey of Anna that is Arvind Kejriwal. Then comes his Official Release Orders and once again Anna breaches law and order and insults it by staying for two more nights there Unofficially and Unlawfully. Sources says that Anna is a sort of dictator and a no good leader who tends to deceive his counterparts and throw them out a.s.a.p his motive is done. His drafted bill that is the much hyped Jan Lokpal has got the contents written by one psychologically challenged person because on a careful study one can gift himself with the ocean of confusions and doubts. Anna was selected in the army violating the rules of medical fitness, I doubt that he might have bribed to get that job, moreover this past record makes him a betrayer of nation because the pledge of army contains that the personnel awarded the service must abide by law and must respect democracy. I agree with Rajeevji. I voted for a civil society candidate and he got a mere 6 votes. Yesterday I watched a discussion on TV. If Jan Lok Pal summons the PM and questions him what will happen? If he answers, he is voilating the "Oath of Secrecy" If he doesn't answer, he will be punished for no fault. Indira Gandhi refused to testify before Shah Commission stating that she can not violate the "Oath of Secrecy"

Rohit bhai, thanks for giving me this opportunity to express my views. I am writing a full-fledged article on this and will post here as soon as it is ready. Here are my views on your poser -- briefly. Actually neither. Right now I view him only as an anarchist, though his cause is commendable. But there is a set procedure that enables anyone to make laws. If you want to be a lawmaker, who prevents you? Get elected to Parliament and frame whatever laws, whichever way you want to. But if the civil society takes plunge into politics, which I will support whole-heartedly, they will no doubt sweep the polls if elections are held now. The real test will come thereafter. They will be a bigger failure than Obama. Nonetheless, I wish the civil society all the very best. Let them have their chance to walk their talk. Let the nation give them the opportunity to cleanse the Augustean stables of corruption. I will vote for the civil society candidate in my area, though I know for sure they will be a much bigger failure than all failed Indian governments put together.

For all those, who are confused, about what Anna is looking for......Anna's team has given precise, well docummented "Jan Lokpal Bill", which is more precisely articulated than Govt.'s Lokpal Bill. Next question is how effective will this bill be, to curb corruption. The degree of effectiveness, of this bill in curbing corruption is of course doubtful. Whatever bill may come, unless people's attitude does not change for clean, transparent conduct, corruption will not decline. But, Anna's drive for Lokpal bill, will generate tremendous awareness against corruption. Out of thousands of people joining Anna's rallies, if 25% take oath not to give or take bribe or indulge in corrupt practices, I will say, the movement has achieved something. Now, something for those, who are worried about democratic system...People vote & get the representatives elected, MPs make laws in Parliament. In the whole, people is at paramount position. MPs & parliament is a means to achieve a goal of lawful governance. If means fails to achieve goal, the people have every right to take corrective action. It is ironic that, domocracy can accomodate Lalu's antics, Raja's unlimited corruption, but not Anna's movement...

The start has been very well received - to root out corruption and effect transparency in governance so Anna is presently a social activist. But what will be the scenario with Anna and team in governance? Are they equipped to take a great nation forward or are we going to descend into a panchayati form of government where each decision will be delayed due to radical iedologies? When partiality (social, religious, regional etc.)or pandering to a cause will show itself and come in the way of pure transition? What is the agenda of Anna's followers? Only time will tell. You cannot make a doctor into a statesman and vice versa. The correct persons to perform defined roles honestly and sincerely is the call of the day. How many of us really look that far? Presently the corrupt are running for cover or stalling progress. The post-Anna scenario is too worrisome to contemplate.

If your Childern is IAS / IPS or top Civil servent u have big pride and achivement then where corruption is taking u to wrong tracks . Open up ur mind take Pen and paper and Jot down how many times u faced corruption and what loss u made and what benefit u made . I assure Benefits will be more . When One Traffic Police check ur vehicle u will not be carrying Licence or puc or helmets or seat belts or fines for signel breaking what happens . U easy ur self by offering a First 50 Rs note if not Rs 100 rs note and settles on line on Road . u avoid approchning RTO office Courts . Who pushes the corruption . How soft people for their comfort. IS it GOVT and Ministers educate people to act in this manner. U are having good posh stylish appartments how ,due to govt policies and supports to real estate, banks and support to ur jobs by organisations . People enjoy malls , supermarkets why is it corruption .U get good quality products facilities why. is it corruption. Indians are good and strong at Brains and views . Anna move is very fair for nation. But Such Important check /control should be casted with through expertise from all places of india, all cms IPS IAS all senior experts Judiciary the person going to keep check on PM Sc is not childerns game and street road demonstration is not solution . Govt run by machinery is not single mans decision for long time in india . and every issue is throughly verified evaluated and studied before it gets implemented in India . That money is definately supporting indian economy to strength. Personal benefit requirements leads people for getting things done which is termed as corruption . Every political party has started with helping and solving the peoples problems and troubles .its very true . All politicians have base to support people benefits at least to 60 , 70%.

Anna started with Jan lok pal and anti corruption issues. What is the gurantee that Jan lok pals will be free from Corruption and what amount of success to nation and national growth is assured or achieved by Jan lokpals . As per observations it is understood that he will play the role after corruption. It is not wise to think that ministers are totally corrupt and no nation progress. delays in taking decision and escalation in cost which is real according to time is corruption. pre or far previous to time decisions and activities are also not strategy. For Corruption ministers are blamed But how long they hold the chairs to do continuous corruption. The people in social life are part and parcle of corruption main carriers of corruption . Officers , educational instutions , industries retailing , trading ,professionals, have holds by 80%, citizens ,individuals.. tradrs are making huge profits on Vagitables (In Wholesale market V Rs 20 gets sold to retailers at 40 ), provisinal items from markets who is reponsable Govt or citizens . So clea ur heart do honest business to people .
